Hmm, I'm honoured to have a fan ... but I didn't learn nothing. I learned a lot of contradictory evidence by so-called experts, learned a lot about the stress caused by this unclear 'evidence' as people genuinely search to know the truth about a situation, learned a number of new got-to resources, learned how fear is also a real virus spreading faster than Covid-19, learned how precarious our technologically dependent civilisation is, learned that Covid-19 is a trigger for people's unresolved traumas and wobbly faith ... etc, etc ... but all of this left me none the wiser of the truth of the detail of the situation.
Hence I tend to stand back and look at the big historical picture of how authoritarian regimes grow by using big events to their advantage. The rise of Nazi Germany was no different than now. "Othering" creates an 'enemy', opening the gates to clamp down on freedoms.
I also learned that I am not following my previous comment today where I said I would not say any more on this thread until NaPo 2020 was over

Just shows that lockdown, tight firm actions for stay at home does curb the spread.
Yet, america can't seem to understand that its the fastest and easiest way to get a handle of the situation they only know how to "do the talk" and majoity can't "stop their walk".

The key moment in that video is around 1:50 when he mentions that the big problem right now is at family level with families staying in together transmitting one another.
Right there, is where we might step back a bit and think had those families taken the order of staying in seriously onset of this outbreak with complete lockdown it would have minimized others going in and out of stores supposedly to get essentials while we all know they're all bored, undisciplined with the attention span of a bumble bee as it was mentioned in that link, the situation would not be out of control right now.
Btw, i don't know where your location is but here in america no one is actually home, majority are still out there doing whatever they want.
Another note on government exercising complete control of our freedom/rights or taking advantage of the situation to implent tougher laws.
When we all voluntarily adhere to some kind of order (as it was stated 2 weeks ago here in US, for a duration of 2 weeks) the chances for the government to come down with tighter laws is very rare. But when we tend to not take it seriously and do as we please with so much of hysteria and chaos like overbuying, hoarding, dragging out kids for toy shopping cause they're clueless on how to sit their own asses down to spend time with their own kids..we are relinquishing our power to give more power to the government to tighten laws. We are inadvertently giving them a reason.
Kind of like when you tell a child to sit in a corner for few min and if they listen you let them go after those few minutes are up.
But if they don't and they start throwing tantrums and overacting, then the punishment gets longer and more severe.
So who really gave that power for more punishment?
As for the part in the clip of With or From pertaining to reasons of death..i get it, its another form of flu and many die of the flu every year but I for one who doesn't own a tv and i rarely look at news links on my phone my good sense and logic after observing the traffic, people's behavior and companies handling of this into its 3rd week. It's best to be safe then sorry cause in the end this virus or any virus comes down to who's immune system is strong enough to handle. Mine is not all that great having battled allergies the last 4yrs and i've chosen to take 2 weeks off to limit myself from dumb people, and not so much of the virus itself.
