I regretfully inform any and all reading this post of the passing of one of our DU poetesses- HowlingWhelms...aka (Noire)
I was notified as she had wished via someone with a bond closest to her...
For those who knew her pain of loss, it came to a point of being unbearable and had finally taken its toll.
I will be posting links to poems which have been submitted in honor of her, including my own. Any words left in her memory and honor will be passed along to the one who informed me of this great loss...
May she finally be at peace...

Amidst Grief & smoke signals
I gathered the stones to reflect and return
heat from our fires, burning
stoked the hearth on the open plain
with wooded kindness, love and learn
of how much I didn’t say when should i
have said more in Your presence
now You and I commune in a different
type of essence

So much poetry I never got to spill
the type that dwells beneath the
wells of eyes bright but hidden
long gone is my 1st love
Yours – not so long ago
still hearts bloom of
eternal attachment so
our interconnected-ness
continues to grow. . .
With me & You & us with the few
who
now wait for us

No timeline can separate
2 hearts from each other
We remain awestruck
and our starry eyesight
wells oceans of depths --
Seasoning our sleepily
dreaming imagination
& prophetic future
to bring us (all) into
a wonderful delicious
ethereal rebirth
& life. . .

I wrote this for her long ago
Nourishment
movement of each echo
pummels ^ til outside
`the confines of self
slits in sacred hallows
sustain aromatic nectar
holding true to life
~ where ~
sunsets drip her touch
`a serene contentment
lain on raised breaths
vision's arisen ^ in fourths
raining down an illuminate
