Poetry Contest Description
Write Your Poetic Apologies in Proper form
Ok, so I came up with this idea after feeling a need to apologize to DU, in general, and to some in specific.
Pride is not my ally, or yours!
Full disclosure. As many proper apologies in free verse, prose or poem form as you like. Any improper apologies will disqualify the poem. The winner is the one who has the most fun, so I will try to be objective about your subjective perspective.
Edit to add, your poem title MUST contain the words "I apologize" or "I'm sorry"

I've said I'm sorry so many times before
So of course, I'll say I'm sorry once more
But according to the Love Story's, sweet Ali
"Love is never having to say your sorry"
So, does this mean you don't love me?
Or maybe it's you who owes me an apology?

I’m Sorry Dear, It’s All My Fault, What Was I Thinking?
You gotta go back, gotta go back
To the Garden, that’s where we found it,
Remember, lover, when we first met?
But then I slouch against the pillows
And shout ‘Why is it so dark in here!?’
Then I realize, I’m here alone.
Forgetting to eat, so much happened
On no sleep in twenty-four hours,
But still I check my phone by its light.
Though it was me, old habits die hard;
I find myself yearning for your call,
So I hear the voice that made me laff.
Then suddenly, it starts to return.
Passion, it seemingly never ends.
Does it mean yesterday was a dream?
On this I’ll meditate unless I
Choose tonight to overmedicate;
I better come to my senses quick.
Have I had a fucking change of heart?
I thought we’d already talked it out;
You’re not to blame, I surrender dear.
I shouldn’t be feeling any pain,
But something is sticking in my craw;
It was what you had said day before.
We cudd’led on this exact wet spot.
The distance began to separate
With ”I wanna date other women.”
I choked, ‘Their platonic company?’
”No, to fuck with and ejaculate -
I just wanted you to know the score.”
Even after when I said ‘How kind’,
I imagined your head on the floor
In a pool of your blood inches deep.
I’m a good girl, and especially,
I’m a generous lover, and more.
‘So you mean I don’t give you enough.’
Your dead silence was thick as a plank.
Now after two days I’m feeling it??
The paintball gun you left me last year,
I just realized a use for it;
You were such a romantic biotch.
I apologize dear, it was YOU!
I Am Sorry For Being Me
I am the stigma
That stirs the pot
The label
That flaps in the breeze
I exist
Only in a scientific paper
Revealing my faults
As if it was a shopping list
Where perfection
Is regarded as beauty
I am the ugly face
That humanity tries to hide
The inkblot that smudges
But won’t be erased
My voice an irritation
That shouldn’t be heard
The message is clear
Stay invisible
The masses hate
The weirdness I radiate
So to save your blushes
The guilt you might hide
I say sorry for the mutation
That made me Autistic
Sorry that your compassion
Was lacking in someway
That my condition
Highlighted your ignorance
That embarrassment you felt
When I lost control
I’m sorry my brain
Goes into overload
I apologise for my short comings
As a human being
Cause when it comes down to it
The word sorry isn’t on your lips

I am sorry if you think I am going to apologize
For cracks or imperfections within myself that
You find offensive. I talk too much or talk too
Little. I laugh when I meant to cry. I have eyes
That say a lot. I feel alive as others have a flat
Line. I look for the words to bring back the blue
Sky. I am sorry for trying to find all the goodness
Within people who have had a harder time than
Me. I am sorry for laying my heart on the line for
Those who would do the same. I have the fullness
Within my heart for the apology that matters. Scan
All the words you want to as you look for a door
Or hidden meaning, but that will get you nowhere.
I am sorry for everything I did not say or express.
I am sorry if I act bitter or disappointed as I have
High expectations. I am sorry if the words I swear
Are true do not mean much. I am sorry for the mess
And stress of life. I am sorry for love that is halved.

Well , when I saw "fun ...........> trump ...........> propriety" in the same sentence ,
I knew *I* could not be proper about anything...
