I am sorry if you think I am going to apologize
For cracks or imperfections within myself that
You find offensive. I talk too much or talk too
Little. I laugh when I meant to cry. I have eyes
That say a lot. I feel alive as others have a flat
Line. I look for the words to bring back the blue

Sky. I am sorry for trying to find all the goodness
Within people who have had a harder time than
Me. I am sorry for laying my heart on the line for
Those who would do the same. I have the fullness
Within my heart for the apology that matters. Scan
All the words you want to as you look for a door

Or hidden meaning, but that will get you nowhere.
I am sorry for everything I did not say or express.
I am sorry if I act bitter or disappointed as I have
High expectations. I am sorry if the words I swear
Are true do not mean much. I am sorry for the mess
And stress of life. I am sorry for love that is halved.
