Lakefront To Beach Head
Their Labor bore fruit
In times of peace
Free of war’s loom
Then came the shattering thunder of guns
From lakefront to beach head
Liberty was the battle cry
They were the Levee
To the river of evil
That had coursed though the land
It was no laodicean decision
To take up arms
While wives and girlfriends
Dressed in Lithograph patterned attire
Smelling of lilac
Praying in the lampblack night
For their safe return
No luster in tearful eyes
The waiting more torture
Than the battles fought
In times of peace
Free of war’s loom
Then came the shattering thunder of guns
From lakefront to beach head
Liberty was the battle cry
They were the Levee
To the river of evil
That had coursed though the land
It was no laodicean decision
To take up arms
While wives and girlfriends
Dressed in Lithograph patterned attire
Smelling of lilac
Praying in the lampblack night
For their safe return
No luster in tearful eyes
The waiting more torture
Than the battles fought

How strong your faith
Gods word was on the lithograph types face
Jesus born of love and grace
All and sundry welcomed in
For in that loom we were concieved
The lilac spin of warp and weft
Self's bright and beautiful portrayed
And brought up to the lakefront
Baptism splashing from that font
The lampblack of your sin denied
That stain, confession can dissolve
Beliefs luster, you prayed would not subside
For when our creed is swept and blown
Our levee of affirmations sound
For that bedrock was your labour
The shining cross its bright unmellowed
Liberty to contempate
For strength or a laodicean faith
Jesus born of love and grace
All and sundry welcomed in
For in that loom we were concieved
The lilac spin of warp and weft
Self's bright and beautiful portrayed
And brought up to the lakefront
Baptism splashing from that font
The lampblack of your sin denied
That stain, confession can dissolve
Beliefs luster, you prayed would not subside
For when our creed is swept and blown

Child
The sound of crickets leach rhymes from the sage
While a child of God walks a crooked trail,
Through the hills where the lingonberry bush
Hides a young moon’s light that’s high in its pale.
A tender lilting scent of lilac swoon,
The labor of the child in cotton’s flow.
She strives to reach the lakeshore levee soon;
The Liberty will dock at dawn’s first crow.
In a shop, it smelled of wax on the floor,
Saw loom above at the top of the stairs.
She’d heard tell, never had seen one before;
A Laodicean- indiff’rent of God.
He was a smithy, all covered in soot,
The lampblack pitch she saw smeared all about.
He wore an undershirt, bare arms, black boots,
“Come, pay me now. I teach. I show you how.”
He made a contact on an element
By polishing the luster of a stone.
With pride & time, the skill to make by hand;
A lithograph that shows an ancient home.
And once the child was ferried back to God,
She handed him the stone that he may see.
The other angels gathered close around;
The stone was blank, it was a tiny cloud.

Laodicean Soul
Like a lost dove flying desperately
Over a lakefront shore
Was the labor of a levee as she arose
I took the liberty to lust in her throes
Only to find myself lost in her luster
Purple shades and the fragrance of lilac
She was neither hot nor cold
She had a laodicean soul
Lampblack shadows covered the sky
As her body loom over mine
Like a lithograph made from stone
Seduced by words unknown
Over a lakefront shore
Was the labor of a levee as she arose
I took the liberty to lust in her throes
Only to find myself lost in her luster
Purple shades and the fragrance of lilac
She was neither hot nor cold
She had a laodicean soul
Lampblack shadows covered the sky
As her body loom over mine
Like a lithograph made from stone
Seduced by words unknown
