MATES

PAWN TO YOUR KING'S FOUR,
Now it's my 1st move.
NEVER SUSPECTED BEFORE
Never saw this coming
SO, I MATCH: PAWN TO KING 4.

KNIGHT TO KING'S BISHOP THREE,
What did you expect from me?
NOT KNOWING WHAT TO DO, I MOVE
A pawn to Queen 3.

KNIGHT TO QUEEN'S BISHOP THREE,
An aggressive embrace
Quietly a cue towards me.
In spite of wanting to hide,
I MOVE: BISHOP TO KING KNIGHT 5.

BISHOP TO QUEEN'S BISHOP FOUR,
What's gotten into me?!
Found, I want you ever-more!
I move a pawn to King Rook 3.

KNIGHT TAKES KING'S FIVE,
Developing a nervous hive
Close to falling in a love unseen,
I (with Bishop) capture my Queen!?

BISHOP TAKES KING'S BISHOP SEVEN,
And here You give me a check.
If I continue, I'd see Heaven. . .
Should I ---- Oh what the Heck!
Can't help but miss You
Hence, I succumb and move,
KING TO KING 2. . .
It must be Fate,

KNIGHT TO QUEEN'S FIVE,
In losing I've Won,
In Winning it's MATE!

Archery 2*

{Listening to Craig Ruhnke - Give Me The Nighttime (1983)}

Dampers have managed
To somehow become the
State of affairs for us
Stabilizing for hyper-mobile fingers
Extending their boon
Ready to part the heavens
Between my wrist and face
For target practice chiefly
Yet occasionally feigning for the rights
To a hunting scenario
With the baited side of the wind
Pressing into this involuntary
Countryside of feminine hunters
Their doppelgangers; detailing
My crudely indoctrinated body.
Which ordinarily isn’t about
How quickly the bow shoots,
How impressive the tuning is or
How many pounds are being pulled but
More about identifying-
Understanding how and when
It’s going to fire once your pressure is
Placed on that release trigger-
Removing human contact, which is the
Eloquent part of a dogmatist like me
(Judgmental especially: when shits close to my heart,
Autocratic and abrupt-generally)
With mounds of praise reducing
Their artistic value and vibration
Made so flawlessly-lawless
Now absorbing the shock;
Held in my mouth.

Reading

I read to escape
This place
I was forced into

At least I'm happier
When I read
About a place not my own

I can imagine it
Like I want
From the description

I dont have to deal
With reality
And everyones problems

I'm transported to a place
Where I can explore
With much less pain

The Situation

Sold my belongings just to pay my mumma rent
Tryna keep my focus making payment come again
Offering my labour to the people round the way
I won’t stop the hunt until I finally found the pay
I really need to move out, feel the tension in the house
Staying up to write all night but I can’t make a sound
Constant alpha battles with my dad for stupid reasons
Have to love my parents but I just can’t wait to leave them
Mumma always hurting, got that neck and shoulder pain
Balancing my care for her and building up a name
I can’t be a carer and build up my fucking legacy
I need to spread my wings, my situation isn’t letting me
So every morning, wake up, make a cup of coffee, smoke
Write a verse, take a shower, remember how I’m fucking broke
Practice what I’ve written until my vocals cords can’t cope
Ponder what’s the harm of making dough by selling of dope
Plenty fiends
With empty dreams
An endless sea
Of entropy
Unstable folk
Whose cradle broke
And gave up hope
Befriending me
I gotta get my gwop, need to navigate my notes
People pressure me to play my part, Im sorry this ain’t a soap
I’m no character
I smoke lavender
I make raps
Don’t take naps
I won’t rest
Till I’m best
Till they see that I’m ahead
Of the curve
Watch me swerve
I got nerve
But no purse
So pursuing what I’m doing till I’m earning what I’m worth

My Diddles

Quit your tapping, they used to tell me
Folks at work thought I was nervous
And though they wouldn’t understand
I was really refining my paradiddles

It was about the wrist and having control
Never letting your fingers off the stick
Otherwise the line would sound dirty
Or make the battery sound very pretty

I sometimes caught myself fantasizing
About flawless double strokes and flamadiddles
With inverted flam-taps and ratamacues
Mixed with cheese parafladdle-diddle-diddles

Eggbeaters and deviled-eggs, diddle-egg-fives
Cheesy pancakes and swiss-double paradiddles
Tu-cheese, cheesy-rolls, cupcakes, chutuddas
Chumbly, churruckitahs and Chewbacca-diddles

Nice and easy overeasy octadiddle-trons
Five stroke flamtas fufive-fifty-fives
Funky cheese inverted ghost-flams
Flive-flafla-taps, flammed Chinese fives

Cheese-drag, flama-chuck, flama-chucka diddles
Cheese-flamalet and flammed zigiddy-bops
Cheeseacues, chutichuhs, chutra-cheese
Cheese-chatachichi, fubars and quickity klotz

Double ratamaflam, flam-drag, drag-Pattys
Double flamacue, flam-drag diddle-diddles
Double flamed-swiss army triplets
Dragateenth double parafladdle-diddles

Flam-Drag Flafla, flamafladdles flamadiddles
Flama-Diddly, flama-chucka-diddle pattyacues
Flam-Five Pattys-Muppets-Jiggers-Hertas
Flam beats-beaters and flam drag-a-poos

Inverted-threes, cheese paradiddle-diddles
Inverted-inverts, inverted-cheese flam-taps
Inverted-flam fours-tap flam-seven slevens
Reverse dragadiddle, four stroke ruffadiddle-taps

Triplet pataflafla triple-stroke tap-drags
Three-stroke ruffadiddle triple-acues
Triple flam-flam paradiddle, ratamaflan
Triple dragaddidle, displaced flamacues

Nuttchada, pataflaka, pattyadiddles
Crazy Harry, Inverted-Patty, Vladiment
Walt-diddles tu-chachas and tu-chadas
Threesomes three-stroke ruffs and I’m spent

The Royals vs the poet's realm

Of splendid thrones of gold
or treasures manifold

Of jewelled caskets
or lavish banquets

Of Emirs and rajahs
Of Sultan and Shahs

Of kings and queens
Of rulers and emperors

Of sparkling crowns
or flowing gowns

Of their subservient stewards and obedient pages
Of their stalwart squires and servile knaves

Of poor humble, docile minions
who tended to regal pavilions
And obeisantly carried royal palanquins
Oh and some were real life harlequins

Of castles and palaces
of abounding gold and silver
in ostentatious regal splendour

The sidelined fanning maids in waiting
Yet to me only one thing worth noticing
The minstrels who came to sing
from afar for the queen and king

For I'd rather be a poetess for kings
so to my tunes swayed a kingdom
than I be the king of mere subjects
and be filled with regal boredom!

So I could join ranks of
troubadours
and sing for the king
some folklores.

A passion for poesy
For magic of literacy [/b]

Samurai Swag

Samurai Swag

To see what’s beyond what’s presented to my eyes and flesh,
to say yes or no when challenged by peers and plagues of society, to maintain my invisible composure when the odds are stacked against me,
my self-righteous attitude that remains
unshaken to the ignorance’s of the world,
it’s my undying confidence in myself and my abilities,
in all aspects, in all endeavors, racing past my past, accompanying my present, blazing to my future,
It’s my self-respect to do what is necessary,
which is being myself unwaivered, untainted, incorruptible,
It’s maintaining my perspective of what’s right,
disregarding blood ties, bonds of friendship,
or the capacity of love,
It is my code of honor I am forever chained to that keeps me steady and stead-fast,
It’s my courage to stand in the middle between the hurricane and the tornado without fear, to survive my storms and prepare to contest the next one,
It’s taking an arrow to the chest but still rushing into battle, armor shinning and battle cry still loud as thunder,
It is the sharpness of my sword that slices any Ninja that attempts to cross blades with me,
It’s my way, to die by my own sword, striking myself down not allowing the evils of my enemies the opportunity ,
it is to walk the path of the warrior for it is mine to walk,
my strike steady, my form graceful, both combined with strength, accuracy and power, this is the formula for my Samurai Swag.

A Sailor's Tragedy.

The sun beamed down on the village below,
But yet no one seemed to know,
Near the shallows of the shore,
A man rocked back and forth-
Sobbing like none before.

In his arms there a body was,
For he: the only one to know the cause,
For this woman he seemed to know-
As his conduct seemed to relate,
What appeared to be her fate.

Thereafter this tragedy took place,
Haunted features marked upon his face,
The day which he could not forget-
Visions of her ghost often visited him,
And the light at the end of the tunnel dim.
