Mad Cad From Fuenteville

Look now the car parades are coming back,    
The air of carnival there is no lack!    
   
Music plays Purple People-Eater song,    
As all the while I stroll the whole day long.    
   
With ev’ry single inch of auto space,    
Reminders of the sixties’ lunar race.    
   
And fifties too, the flying saucer age,    
Now Robby Robot minis’ all the rage.    
   
With kewpie dolls & pixies with their thatch,    
Their cutesy faces make a perfect catch.    
   
And scatter’d on the cars, meant to beguile,    
Are pretty plastic showgirls, Barbie-style,    
   
That wave at fans who come from ev’ry mile,    
To stand around the cars to gawk awhile.    
   
A world of crockery with knick and knack,    
Of little baby dolls that coo and clack.    
   
There’s Felix Cat, Godzilla, run amuck,    
With Mickey Mouse & Minnie, Donald Duck.    
   
They don’t exclude the more discerning taste,    
No matter what, there’s nothing goes to waste.    
   
Like mobil schooners’ decr’ative Steampunk,    
With Neo-Victorian brass and funk.    
   
The gears & bearings’ timepiece goes spelunk.    
 The beauty of these things that once was junk!    
   
Egyptian royalty float down de-Nile,    
Bejeweled in bling with teeth of crocodile.    
   
A sunny day needless be specific,    
A tropic breeze blows in from the Pacific.    
   
Makes the plastic palms look realistic,    
Blessings from a pigmy and a mystic.    
 
Buddhas in a row all smile like guru,    
Witch doctors w’ shrunk heads ply their voodoo.    
 
Flamingos flock & fly right where they are,  
Their papa makes sure that they don’t stray far.  
   
Let’s take our selfies next to Larry’s car,    
I’ll tape mine to my mirror ‘cause he’s a star.    
   
His friend John says You can pick your neighbors,    
And he continues, Just don’t pick their nose.    
“Oh yes, you can, you can!” Larry infers,    
By golly, he's the one who really knows!
