Share romantic poems.
Romance: a feeling of excitement and mystery associated with love. love, especially when sentimental or idealized.
Poems will get comments explaining good features as well as subjective areas of improvement. If you want comments, then put your poem webpage's full url link (or just the 6 digits that are within that url) at the bottom of your posts.
You are allowed to submit a poem that you've written before, even if I've commented on it or it's been in my previous romance contest.

And into the glaze that led me astray!
My fingers felt its beads.
Surprise! They too were in a medley-
only they never asked why.
How lucky they must be!
Missing you is a fire-that won’t die,
no matter how hard I try!
For that, I am once again a prey-
who’s lost to you in this fray.
Please tell me-
how can this be OK;
when you’re an eternal mirage-
who just wont let me be.
You have no plan to stay-
just as I have no plan to fly away!
So lets not fool our selves into asking why;
Cause we both know -away from the eye,
is never away from the heart!

The essence of woman
A vision of the flower of life
The sweetness of honey
Beauty grown in the holy garden...
She walks with purpose
And speaks with compassion
A brown tipped flower
With eyes of glassy soul...
In tune with herself
In harmony with the cosmos
The sound of lovely wind
As she talks to the moon...
A witness of the maker
A bringer of the night
She shines brighter than the sun

When Distance Makes The Heart Grow Fonder
When distance makes the heart grow fonder,
Our lives take a different perspective on things,
What is and what could be, what could’ve been,
Where spirits soar with emotions on their wings.
The persistent thoughts that race every day,
For the need that constantly bleeds in the heart,
Is only mended by the sound of a voice,
That tears and soothes for being apart.
And after the encounters that take place,
Where off to the distances these souls go,
The reminiscent memory of what they shared,
Makes the feelings and sensations grow.
So for days and years, through laughter and tears
These elated minds are only left to wonder
Waiting for the next time waiting in the meantime,
When the distance makes the heart grow fonder.

Flower Petals
You remind me of flower petals.
So pretty
So flawless
So miraculously elegant
Yet so unnoticed by the outer world
But, fret not
For I notice
And I observe
You being whisked away by the slightest breeze
Oh, how I wish to take you away instead
I feel you,
You are gentle to the touch
Your silk-woven fingers
Run across my cheek
You rest your forehead against my own
As your star-speckled eyes gaze upon mine
In your eyes
I see a galaxy upon galaxy
A constellation of beauty
Upon no end.
Your lips press against mine
And I feel a fire spark in my chest
Burning
My heart is slowly melting
Layers of ice withering away
I can feel every bone
Screaming out
Screaming for you to continue
Begging for your embrace
I’ve never felt so much love
So much passion
Within a few short moments
There isn’t a sense of boredom

I see death and dirty ground
You see flowers buds and seed
I see thorns and rotting weeds
You see sunshine, I see rain
You see comfort, I see pain
You see fairies, woods and trees
I see wasps and killer bees
You like happy, I like sad
You like good, I like bad
You like Disney and chic flix
I like horror,slash and sick
You like soft, warm and fluffy
I like rough, scratch and scruffy
You like safe, plan preparing
I like risk and random daring
You like kittens, baby seals
I like animals that make good meals
You want jewellery, shiny stuff
I want cigars so I can puff
You want fitness to compare
I just want my comfy chair
You want order, no decay
I want war and anarchy
You want quiet, all is still
I want loud and overkill
You want sensual, soft porn, arty
I want racy, loose and tarty
We are strange, like chalk and cheese
And yet we’re truly devotees
We disagree on lots of things
And yet , together we bounce like springs
We should be in so much trouble
And yet we’re still a happy couple
Opposites at either end
Others just can’t comprehend
Joined securely at the hip
We still know how to dance and skip

When our lips touched she didn't feel the stillness of the Earth.
Not like I did.
Those long nights when she was with me.
She cleaned my stained image of beauty.
We talk without an end.
But it was like there was no periods at the end of those sentences.
Something was left unsaid.
It's what was unsaid that lingers in my head.
Almost like the warmth of her touch and the image of her in my bed.
Did she want to tell me she was in love, and was it with me?
Or was the other guy who laid on her sheets?
Just tell me it was me.
