My name is my name
Surprised, aren't you?
But when the dog comes home, and through the door,
That's when you notice your daughter's a whore
I provide for this family! Said the tomato
No, tomato, no. You are just my ketchup
But I prefer mustard, I don't like red
That's enough random, imagination is dead

My Imagination
my muse has gone south
left me twisting in the wind
husk of an imagination
the heart of this poem isn't art
rotten and dead at it's core
feeling like I'm running on empty
this competition is where
I can leave voided words
lacking in luster and pizazz
just be me naked on the page
thank you for bringing me here
I get so weary of reaching
high in the sky to pluck diamonds
from the cosmos
fickle words allude me
give me a blank screen
I will fill it to amuse
though nothing here entertaining
just me rambling
from lack of sleep
freeing myself from
the confines of feeling I need to be brilliant
this is just me being me
nothing impressive, no star just a dead rock
falling from the sky
for one to pick up in wonder
that is shined so brightly once upon a time
my muse has gone south

And I know it's true that nightmares are seldom all they seem
