Charms Incantations
Pale circle Hecate's breath
aura of power 'neath heavens
beyond circles of souls
around the earthly realm
festival of darkness rings
power given taken and spent
Selene's fair countenance
shine not for me this night
more I pray for Hecate's strength
and power to spur my allure
for desire I to be looked upon
fair and alluring to sleeping Adonis
to most not fair to mine eyes
god of charm personified
hear me daughter of an ancient god
for surely thine eyes hath feasted
long and hard upon mortals beauty
some sired and born of them
by thy lust thy never ending thirst
for burning human touches
thus I touch thy robes hem
'Pon my knees on this ground
plea I for thy blessings
grant me the light of thy allure
the beauty of thy countenance
Neath the waning moon
Selene's beauty Hecate's strength
Beauty charm and cunning
imbue in this body
heart and soul.

The moon sparkles and glows
Lights up the trees casting
Shadows inside my head
I walk thru the dark
Griping branches folowing
The lite in the sky
Grasping branches folowing
The shadows inside my head
Illuminated by the moon
Lighting my way
A murder of crows cackle
Over head the moon lighting
My way as I follow the
Shadows in my head
Grasping at branches
Clawing the way to my doom
Alluminated buythe moon
Lights up the trees casting
Shadows inside my head
I walk thru the dark
Griping branches folowing
The lite in the sky
Grasping branches folowing
The shadows inside my head
Illuminated by the moon
Lighting my way

Blood moon
..the moon shone on
forcing her light through the branches
so she could touch the bodies
and mourn, in the absence of tears
the women danced
laughed, and jeered the dying
drowned out the cries
of the children lying on the leaves
then formed a circle
and chanted their worship
"Moon, our moon, we gift you
blood of our children, song of our hearts
Moon, our moon we praise you
light of our darkness, food of our souls"
the moon shone on
and she begged for dawn to come
that she may rest her eyes
from the horror

ONCE UPON A HOLIDAY MOON
The Monday after Halloween
I laid down the law to my employees
“You’d better be here on the job
On both Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve”
And if you don’t like what I have to say
Look for someplace else that pays
Cause here in the good old USA
It’s your boss’s way, or the highway"
Much to my surprise no one protested
Not one dared even chirp
Except for old Mable,
Who slowly turned round
Bent over,
And lifted up her skirt
Pulling down her bloomers
All the way to her ankles
She looked over her shoulder
Then said with a smirk,
“You can kiss my old bare ass
Cause this girl won’t be a slave
For some asshole of a jerk”
I was shocked to say the least
And before I could show Mabel the door
All my other employees
Turned round, then bent over
And let their pants hit the floor
Now I ask you my fellow Americans
What sort of country
Allows folks to moon their boss?
Let alone even dare
Try to back talk?
No wonder we send jobs to China
And some to Cameroon
No one there would try to moon
A rich and powerful tycoon
My tale of woe gets worse
After filling out all those pink slips
When I left my office, what did I find?
All my employees picketing
In long strike line
And you know who was leading it?
That damn old Mable
Holding a hickory stick
"Oh Shit!"
So heed my warning
My fellow entrepreneurs
Before telling folks to dance to your tune
There just might be one
Employee like old Mable
Who’s not afraid
To show you the moon
Forgive me but within every pretentious poet, there is a thirteen year old, dying to get out.

"Seductress Selene"
maiden eyes reflect the moon
ripples pulse their wave
swan song echoes fade
celestial sips, undulating, mirrored nude
breathless kiss upon daybreak
seductress sublime, endless, divine
fulfilled sighs to breathe
deeply in the nights glassing Sea
of Tranquility until her need
surrendering of dreams
discovered, eclipsed in a lover's duel
Apollo becomes her lunatic fool
goddess, Selene's edges burn red
beaming madness, escaping, dire, cruel
reborn from his grasp, she rides sacred
orb unto the tides
crescent pale, silver sated full
she runs a halo-face in sorrow's dust
heaven's gates unveiled, stars subside
ebb and flow upon Apollo's lust, her eternal pull ..

ripples pulse their wave
swan song echoes fade
