Poetry Contest

anagrams or pangrams
A pangram (Greek: παν γράμμα, pan gramma, "every letter") or holoalphabetic sentence for a given alphabet is a sentence using every letter of the alphabet at least once.

Anagrammatic poetry is poetry with the constrained form that either each line or each verse is an anagram of all other lines or verses in the poem.

This is how I practice or brainstorm. When I am faced with writers block, challenges like this give me some thing to focus on while "unblocking".

I thought this would be a good comp.

Have at it.

PANAGRAMIC POETRY
TOPIC: COMING OUT OF THE CLOSET

A
Boy
Craves
Drugs
Emulating
Fake
Grades
Hoarding
In
Jackets
Khaki vests
Lots of
Man Magazines
Not out
Of
Perversity or
Quirks
Resisting counseling
Sliding
Towards
Underground disasters
Vis a vis
What his parents
Xenophobia and homophobia
Yes, they do not like gays
Zealots religion-wise
They hold him ransom
Until
One
Day
He
Runs
Away
Opening
The
Closet
Free
At
Last.

Another
beaten down
Cinderella
dreams of
escaping
forever
gone is her
hope
ignored for far to long
Just trying to
keep her sadness
locked up tight
marriage had changed  more than her
name
only and her once passionate
prince
quieter now
resistant to her advances her
Slippers still
tucked in his pockets
unwilling to bend  his knees
vindication
wavering
xavier her lover
yawns bored
zipping his pants leaving her to her pathetic happily  ever after

Alone
Backwoods cabin
Cursed forest
Demons hungry
Evil lurking
Fucked for sure
Gruesome fate
Hellish possession
Incantation
Just released
Killer of the devil
Looking where you shouldn't
Molested in the trees
No escape
Only a dragged path to hell
Praying for an intervention
Quiet
Relapsing back
Stop the madness
Take the the damn soul
Unstoppable prophecy
Vengeance of Satans finest
"We're all going to die tonight"
X the cross to mark the grave
You better run
Zombies will look like a joke

(Inspired by the movie Evil Dead 2013)

Anyone else want to give it a go? I would love to see more.

Although
Because people
Can change, that
Doesn't mean
Everyone around them can do it.
Forget the possibility that's never
Guaranteed, the
Hope for quietness, peace,
In the walls where you live,
Justice, your personal justice,
Knowing your fantasies,
Liking the thought of normalcy,
Make them disappear.
Never think they'll come true,
Or that the constant disruptions will
Pass away like you'd want.
Question why,
Right away, as those thoughts come back, as
Soon as they do, because they're false.
Trust me.
Use your brain,
Very unlikely they'll be a reality;
With everything in you,
X it out, those
Zealous lies.

After reading tarantula by Bob Dylan, I've decided to try my hand at some stream of consciousness stuff. Here's my first effort:

A conscious effort
by the constrained
creates nothing.

Devoid of inspiration,
enraged egotists find
fault in selfless pursuit of
glory.

Hampered by the
infancy of others,
jettisoned memories of
ketamine disassociation allow
lies to fester.

Myopic interludes of
nihilistic pleasure
only serve to
profundicate the
questionably sane
revolver in my hands
sublime speech on world peace.

There is no sense left
under the cross.
Violins are broken,
weapons formed while
xylophone keys shatter
Yale’s prestige as king of the
zoo.

"Naďve"

New to the world outside
An optimistic perspective
Innocence still untainted
Vulnerable to wickedness
Evil lurking around them
