Poetry Contest

Dark matter surrounds this planet and communicates  "Tell us why we shouldn't obliterate you" And now the heads of every country point to the poetry community. Pleading for us to "save this world"
If this really happens I just want to be prepared
One week
One poem only
No people who use the phrase: "You talk the talk but do you walk the walk". I hate those people. So if you use that phrase I will find your IP go to your home. Then I will punch a baby in front of your face just to let you know I'm not messin around buddy.

Just look at that face over there.

WHY YOU SHOULD NOT OBLITERATE US

If you want to take us
Then only take the ones who want to go
Do not take us all
Some of us should be free to go
Mothers with their tiny children
Pure souls on a quest
Researchers for bad diseases
Leave the good
Take the rest
Take the murderers
Take the bankers
Take the people dying in pain
Let those people go
Retain the caring
Retain the good
How would you know good from bad
Maybe you do not know the difference
Dark matter is such
Perhaps a physicist should speak for us
However as the poetry community
Has been asked to argue
We plead with you
To save the world
Though it not be perfect
For humans it is all we have got
As for the evil
There is also the good
Perhaps the earth is not perfect
Perhaps you have misunderstood
We are people in the continuum
Of angelic to devilish
Give us one more chance
To clean up and own up
To leave the world a better place
For our children to inherit
Does Dark Matter beget children?
If it does, you would understand us
Why living for our childrens' good
Truly does matter.

Thank you for hosting the competition.
I find they give me a reason to write
and break writer's block.

CYCLE OF LIFE

In The Beginning

When the world was covered in an everlasting mist and our ancestors existed within this teardrop vapour of love, acting as a perfect conductor for the sun.

When the stars could not be seen at night and the moon had not been perfectly placed to limit our perception and sight.

When our minds eye was open and no language needed to be spoken, just an understanding that we existed as one and life and death were known as the rejuvenation of our souls.

When fear wasn't felt and an ever expanding present, we now call time allowed us to thrive.

When we valued life.

The Middle

Then we considered ourselves evolved, because we learnt to fear the only truth we had ever known.

Then we discovered hate, believed in fate and superstition and invented the system.

Then we alienated ourselves from the each other, making it easy for 'them' to manipulate, divide and conquer.

Then we fought each other, for a freedom we always had, peace was the path, not blood spilt on far away lands.

The Present

Today we are trying, we are searching and a newly found language is surfacing.

Today we are fighting and risking our lives for a truth that we feel greater than ourselves.

Today we are experiencing and accepting a vibration once harnessed by the ancients.

Today we are believing in the source of light, inside of us all and we are ready to stand and unite for peace and prosperity for all.

Recognising Consciousness

The rebirth will be a universal awakening, an insatiable beat, the end of war and governments and slaves of society rising from their knees.

Take from us
what we can only
do better than you
and eradicate our species more humanely than we ever could.

I am but a Soldier, A pawn for powerful men.
And lead me to a slaughter
that at least, I'll see coming.

Our race isn't worth a measure of my poetry,
nor yours.
Or their's.
But death.

"The Coming Sky Earth...."

Sadly we are only a young World compared to the
greater powers and secrets of your technological
prowess.  We have yet to fathom the depths and majesty's
beyond the gaze of Hubble's powers and it's coming
announcements.

We fear your threat's and have taken them greatly to heart.
Not to raise a hand to the God's upon the silver crafts.
For they wield an unending fire that is unvanquished and
a war in which we would never be able to break apart.

WE give to you great peace and understanding.  To share with you
the love and beauty we have of art and rhyme.  Although we do
admit we are far from perfect our planet proves this so often
with our negligence time after time.

In a way we could if anything take your greater advice.  Learning from your better and cleaner sciences.  To escape the former ways we have conducted ourselves and abandoning are childishness and unnecessary righteousness.

So we welcome you with an open hand and not a fist of wrath.
We wield no weapons to harm you nor we know better than to block your path.  We welcome you with the depths of peace and understanding trying to only slightly give back the love that
compares to your greater wisdom's.  In hopes that we as people can live together in harmony amongst these celestial dimensions.

(A Poem about My Sub-Species)

Actually folks,
my dear fellow poets,
I must confess
honestly,
we’re no different than
all the rest
of our species,
save
telling it,
the human-condition
that is.
We carry it,
creative-words
written on our shoulders,
passing our time in
verse and rhyme,
screaming in
the forum-babble.
But, if you read our
rabble,
in between those angry
finger-pointing lines,
you’ll understand,
come to realize,
we don’t have
all the answers
for what we profess,
our enlightenment.
Sorry people,
please take no offense,
I mean no disrespect,
but I think
I’ll take my chances
on my own two feet,
not on the
advice of others
floating in
the same boat,
me included.

Our Mother

you turn a blind eye as our mother dies
never an ounce of concern
will you ever learn
you play ignorant to screams and cries
and turn a blind eye as our mother dies

you turn a deaf ear to the things you hear
never taking a stand
or doing what you can
denying propaganda as fear
you turn a deaf ear to the things you hear

you turn your back while our mother is under attack
never looking around
to see we are going down
commitment is what the world lacks
you turn your back while our mother is under attack

you keep a closed heart while our mother is torn apart
never caring how she bleeds
driven by self-greed
you wake up completely in the dark
and keep a closed heart while our mother is torn apart

while our mother dies you turn a blind eye and a deaf ear
to the things you see and hear
ignorant with no concern
you will never learn
our mother cries and dies before your deafened ears and blinded eyes

our mothers heart is torn apart right behind your back
she is under attack
her blood is upon your hands
while you refuse to take a stand
our mother dies of a broken heart and is torn apart while you sit in the dark
