It surprises me but the poem I just finished writing is my new favorite. The title is "Atrocious".

I agree with Eamon to an extent. Doubt I have a favourite, maybe in twenty years I might, but that's unlikely. Ever revolving pile of shit. Here's my last mess:

My two drops in the bucket, they are my faves for different reasons but in both there is a great deal of me.

This is a really hard choice for me, because every poem I put up here I posted because I really liked it. If I had to pick, it would probably be a tie between 'Dear Poet' and 'SHE', though I'm not sure if either is my /best/ poem;

My best poem (leaving short stories out of it) is Amongst the Dead.

http://deepundergroundpoetry.com/poems/29341-amongst-the-dead/

Not only was it a masterpiece , but it is also a true story!

Another excellent epic poem of mine is Who Cries for Gilgamesh?

And my very first DUP poem of them all, The Resurrection of Ishtar.

My best short story is the three-part epic Legend of the Undead Samurai. It combines actual history, dark fantasy, and even some of my own past-life memories. The result is an epic retelling of a classic Japanese legend.

Other than that, I could highly recommend Children of the Gods and its' sequel Memoirs of a Galactic Emperor Parts 1 and 2. Those are strictly based on quite a few of my spiritual and religious beliefs, as well as on my oldest past-life memories.

and my most popular I am also proud of:

Scratch those.
This:

is now my favorite.

So I guess I can more or less agree that the newest one is generally the favorite for a time.

Cool story, bro.

The piece I'm most pleased with recently is my poem "Scorn's Resort."

It's slightly out of the ordinary for me because it's based on a nightmare, and not from past experience or personal observation.

I like Secondhand, probably the first poem I was ever really proud of.
