hold that thought for a minute, love
this is important
as I drift into the space in which you take me
where love & safety touch divinity
and words become superfluous
because they can’t make, break or define us
We are
the oxygen breathing life into my atmosphere
the grounding force keeping me here
the translucent wings beautifully lifting me
I’m sheltered in the lea of your strength
amazed at the effortless way you cradle me
palms guarding my vulnerable flame from the gale
so battering winds cannot diminish me
and I want you to know
how I’ve found home
in the contours of your structure
discovered comfort in the arms of your demons
and how they siphon off the chaos of my own
leaving me room
to think
to breathe
to move
and see Us
