WINE FED HAIKU
(spring)
Given time I melt
like springtime in a bottle
does a winter freeze
Heartbeats like wings carry
the edge of Persephone
Always in rebirth
Lady of the Sun
glistening orchid of chance
dew drop lovers tongue
(summer)
Living life fully
basking middays summer fun
Lovers on the run
Taking to the road
we the heat blowing just so
clothe ourselves in love
While dripping essence
full Hearts Sun carries his glow
beside Her presence
(Fall)
Caress of our Hands
soothing fall breezes blowing
within step we dance
Stone circle wraps Us
In Autumns fiery embrace
as we tend the fire
Camping under stars
A browned leaf crunches loudly
under our two feet
(Winter)
Happily a hearth
Is warm to the needs of love
the grand couple pleased
Atop visions stance
snow drifts as two lovers kiss
holding time ever tender
They walk pale blue light
grafted upon snow owls wings
Flying as one Heart and Soul

Do I have to pick one? I can listen to Garfunkel's voice anytime of day. Some of his really great stuff was out before I really got into music so I was a late arrival to his music as a solo artist beyond tunes played on the radio. I also have read some of his poetry. However I adore tons of songs crafted by Simon. Graceland has to be one of my favorite cds of all time, even if I am not a big Elvis fan. Hard to believe those guys are in their 70ies, although I can tell bu looking at Simon these days. Art seems to have aged a bit more gracefully---he looks to be in better shape.
