Faux
I lie awake in dream or faeried tale unfolding
My head resting against your warm breast
Being lulled by the steady beat of your love
Breathing in the reality of us in silent unrest

Thinking?
Roll it down
Roll it out
Roll it through
Spit it out
Take the time
Take the moment
Take a look
Let it ferment
Slice it through
Slice it rough
Slice the crust
Sync it up
Sync the time
Roll it too
Slice it down
Think it through
Roll it out
Roll it through
Spit it out
Take the time
Take the moment
Take a look
Let it ferment
Slice it through
Slice it rough
Slice the crust
Sync it up
Sync the time
Roll it too
Slice it down
Think it through

The Tao in My Pocket
At rest in the Tao
undressing the violence that
had clothed me, standing naked
in the space between things
touching softly the petals of a
flower named memories
Beset by the tragedies
of youth and betrayed innocence
I dug my toes into the earth
and made fire, turned my face
toward the winds of war and
drank the water of apathy
Now, what seems to be lifetimes
later I see the duality of nature
no longer seeking to forget
the brutality, nor idolize it
Everything experienced deserves
its place...

A Better Tomorrow
What of these cards a man be dealt
a twisted fate no longer felt
raging river or endless sea
he seeks alone his destiny
And facing death, eights and aces
so many familiar faces
dance aimlessly through memories
they whisper to him in the trees
Despite the road, we journey forth
a simple path without a course
wandering minds so colorful
he pushed the pen and felt the pull
Into a world of poetry
where thoughts are scribed so eagerly
amidst the backdrop of sorrow
he writes a better tomorrow
a twisted fate no longer felt
raging river or endless sea
he seeks alone his destiny
And facing death, eights and aces
so many familiar faces
dance aimlessly through memories
they whisper to him in the trees
Despite the road, we journey forth

Better Days
Golden willow weeping lowly
in the wind and swaying slowly
the sun shall paint your leaves ablaze
a guiding light to better days
Brightly shining magical star
meeting us always where we are
on the surface a passion's fire
in flames of hope that we desire
I am the willow weeping now
please rest your light on troubled brow
so longing to feel warmth again
that turns the lip to subtle grin
Until I smile now facing east
and from this pain I am released
to bask within her warming rays
my guiding light to...

Unbundled
autumn sorrows ache
against the cold of winter
a soul unbundled
against the cold of winter
a soul unbundled

Ego feed
Reach for me
Like trees reach for the sky
Never obtaining
But always aiming high
Like trees reach for the sky
Never obtaining
But always aiming high

Decay
The tempo slows
The hands run stiller
Filling days with nothing
Only putrescent filler
Prime past long ago
Disease runs rampant
Body attacking body
Pain the only companion
The mind slips also
Slower and slower still
Cell by cell evaporating
Like iron rusted will
Flakes of copper
Drops of silver
Lakes of platinum
Emptying like a polluted river
The hands run stiller
Filling days with nothing
Only putrescent filler
Prime past long ago
Disease runs rampant
Body attacking body
Pain the only companion

Slower and slower still
Cell by cell evaporating
Like iron rusted will

Read Me
Lift my pages carefully
Turn slowly
I am fragile and brittle
My story is written on me
Be careful
Read each line slowly
Deliberately
Savor the chapters
Make love to my stories
Let them make you feel
Read Me.

Rekindle
Seemed as if my present-day aged,
reforming my deep-rooted prophecies,
into whims of novelties,
I try to refresh my journeys and fondness for idioms,
Discoveries,
Led me to sceneries of blessings and obscenity,
The effects of my imageries; inclined and bounded by scribble's identity,
I tried to flee the abuse of my ingenuity,
But failed to resist ,
I submitted to tongue's sprain; "my tropical tones" ,'
Resembled fire on burning stones,
Provoked my intimate dream to be awaken; by whispers of illicit undertones.
Candid moans...

I am ok
My mind still reeling
But my body is healing
My heart ...
You may want to bring a Sledgehammer
Or some C4
Or you know maybe a MOAB
How closed off hermetically sealed It feels
*A tip to special souls
I feel it peeking open
Here and there
When I'm not looking
As such is the way of the heart throbbing
Mysterious, inscrutable, wavering
Steadfast, loyal and loving
If you do manage to slip in between
