Things I Love
I love the smell of fresh wind.
And the colors of red roses.
I love the feeling of happiness.
That not always decomposes.
A memory I had long ago.
That to this day I don't feel foul.
I love the taste of sweet cheesecake.
A cup of juice and a breakfast pancake.
I love the way the wind blows.
The way the leaves rustle.
And the night sky shows.
Maybe his laughter or smile.
That you can listen for a while.
I love the way my pen feels in my hand when I write my poems.
Or with the feather of a hen.

Bart’s Bouncing Donuts.
Bartholomew "Bart". My Buttercup. He’s a man of boundless enthusiasm, a heart of pure spun sugar, and ideas that would make a caffeinated squirrel look lethargic. I love him dearly. Truly, I do. But sometimes, his entrepreneurial spirit… well, it leaves me a little breathless.
For years, he’s been plagued with flightless business adventures. The "Chihuahua Chinchilla", the "Edible Eyeglasses", the "Self-Folding Laundry". (the less said about the hamster union strike, the better). I still find stray sunflower seeds in the dryer....

We all have that one song.
That we remembered for very long.
The one whose lyrics is very strong.
And connects to us deeply.
The one that comforts us.
And stays in our minds neatly.
Maybe it's a song you heard as a kid.
Or a song you heard on the radio.
Maybe it's a song you like to sing.
Or a song you heard at a rodeo.
When the lyrics speaks to you in a way none does.
When the melody beats in your ears.
The way nothing else does.

To me,music can be used to travel.
To lands far away.
Mysteries,unravel.
And we play it as begin to travel.
We travel to a magical land.
A gate covered by magic.

And escape anything tragic with a tap.

When Flowers Bloom
When it's spring it's a surprise.
The glowing stars in the skies.
The flowers all begin to bloom.
And you give them to a wedded bride and groom.
The colors,you can arrange.
And maybe get a chance.
Of a colorful,new romance.
Roses represent grace.
And put a smile on your face.
They come in so many varieties and ways.
Daisies,white petals.
In the cold,midnight rain.

There's a time of year we all await.
When everything is as white as a ceramic plate.
When there are snowflakes on the ground.
And under the tree, a present is found.
When everybody sings carols.
And everyone is nice.

A Message For You
Since today is Thanksgiving, I wanted to reflect on a couple of things.
And no, there will not be any murder, death, debauchery, orgasms, bizarre antics or twisted endings in this message. I'll save that for tomorrow.
I've been here since January of 2024. I have enjoyed this site immensely. The best part of this site was reading other people's poetry. Were all different. We all tackle life the way we believe it should be tackled. Your viewpoints and ideas we'll probably be different then mine or someone else's. That's ok. It creates a unique individual that will shed light...
