Droplets
The glistening droplet of fresh rain
clings to the berry.
To a squawking bluejay
that's a luscious cherry.
Is the berry crying or shining?
Is the soul fleeing or flying?
Droplets dangle from dank naked branches.
Diamond tears from broken chances.
Abandoned stances.
The rain persists to linger.
Like the way the choreography of your fingers did.
My heart a despairing shade of blue.
From thought conjuring droplets of you.......

Silhouette Scenes
In the flickering firelight, a shadow sways,
A silhouette of yearning lost in the haze.
Winter’s breath, sharp with the chill of the night,
Draws wandering souls to the warmth of delight.
A vague outline against the darkened backdrop,
A man leans in closely, where passions can’t stop.
His form, a canvas of muscle and grace,
Ardent and eager, his heart starts to race.
And there, a softer silhouette stirs near,
A woman, enchanting, igniting his fear.
Her body, like silk, catches the glow,
Curves whisper secrets that only they...

Mouseman
I went searching for magic today
I packed my bags
And went wandering
Into the dark lonely woods
I hesitated a little
Before entering the leafy other world within
I tried to follow a path
But had to venture into dense underfrowth
And heavy bracken
It took me a while to realise
That it wasn't the heavy foilage that was the problem
It was me!
The moment i entered this wood
A protective spell surrounding this wood
Turned me into a mouse!
I no longer search for magic anymore
As i'm to busy avoiding owls, and witches...

the obstacle
The obstacle
After the none violent revolution in Portugal
1972, as often happens in my life when something
unusual happens, I was there, not knowing I was
witnessing history
My ship came to unload cargo, but we ended
up staying for weeks, a revolution is too important
to be wasted by mere cargo
In the village where I later settled.
the new era brought a road, not a big road
but wide enough for a school bus
there was an aber, where the road ended
two olive trees blocked the road for further
expansion

Emerald flair
Let them dance!” avowed the oak
Leaves— stately and wry mingling in the zeppelin
Windblown ridges kissing the necks of their allies
A coterie of revelry
Interlaced in lieu of chaste
A savoir faire of emerald flair
A rustling melodic consonance

Trees of Mellow
Leaves fall from the trees of mellow,
with a simple blow of natures hello.
Announcing to be known,
for it was mother natures evil clone.
All alone.
Alone to itself, yet not to the rest.
Nature opens herself to the world,
to relieve some excessive stress.
Stress that plays chess with human life.
Checking many, but few to none.
Getting too near would enhance ones fear.
Lone and behold, but stay in control.
Gusty winds cometh to sendeth,
vastly stretched miles.
Rotation is evident, yet very...

the nature of trees
keeping within my happiness
I kiss the sky taking a deep breath
exhaling beauty into the world
on a sunlit afternoon
swimming through the air
I am one with the breeze
gentle thoughts of wow
the sunflowers wave at me
smiling at me inside
the moment is graceful
the flowers watch on as I communicate with the trees
their leaves are rustling
they are gossiping
the tulip tree will have none of it
she is encouraging the baby trees to stand up straight
such a sweet little tree
up and above the...

Days Without Rain
In the days without rain
the pond is down.
The few trees that grow in it
bear witness to what the waterline
used to be.
Dragonflies while the day away
pretending to be acrobats
performing aerial feats for each other.
An occasional breeze sways the small stand
of cattails that grow near the edge.
Their mint-green leaves, long knives,
firm as canvas sails full of wind
on yacht race day.
A young frog sits in the shallows,
three-quarters submerged,
a meniscus outlines his exposed body.
He is still as...

the eternal life of trees
the waters are stirred and honesty rises to the top
gentle in her presentation she speaks with a soft voice
entering into her garden sanctuary
my wildflowers bloom only here
where I talk to the trees of time I spent human
the trees watch out for me and mark my growth
they remind me of when I stood tall among them
the animals flora and fauna all spoke Hebrew
in the Father's garden was a very lovely lady
who opened Daddy's tomes of knowledge
they enlightened her mind but sadly she was no longer an innocent
she was ushered from...

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BLESSING
From the deepness of my thoughts and insight of my mind thoughts. 🤔 As I take this walk through the door way of the truth, that lingers in the deep dark deepness of my mind of memories never to be ever forgotten. 🤔 For as I continue to take this walk, I become free to be able to enjoy, this journey of no space or time. ⌚ For I noticed a statue surrounded by beautiful colors of flowers, yet there was an aura about this real moment of tranquility. For it is here and now, I can relate to this magical garden of paradise, with it's crystal clear waters shine still off the...

Buck Moon Nights
The moon was in the weeds last night
all southerly adrift
fading amid powder blue light
which on it seemed to sift...
'twas wild smoke within the haze
that gave a scarlet hue
then dimming in the twilight rays
of moonlight streaming through.
Yet still there was a rosy glow
when once the sun had set,
the likes of which we wouldn't know
but for a chance briquette...
and lingering filtration there
due to the floating soot
all through the northwest summer air...
from canopies kaput.
