I Escaped, But Only Just - Part 15: Rebelling
I started Sixth Form College, studying music, sociology, drama, maths and English, along with piano and cello. By half term, my enthusiasm for study had waned as my new social life took priority, and I soon stopped the cello lessons.
At some point early on, I received my first invitation to a nightclub in the city centre, even though I was only sixteen. I went with a friend. First, we stopped at a city centre pub for a few beers. Then, we made our way to the nightclub.

To other worlds I will descend
I will not stop traveling til' it ends

Just as long as you’re here

Trying to escape the never ending pain
Because the only good things here
Are music, poems, and rain
No one knows the conflict I feel
The only things they care for is
Money and cutting deals
But the more you try to change things
The more people leave you
They lie and tell you they have you
But the second they get a chance
They Houdini, disappear ...

A Lover and the Lack Therof
I saw you out of the corner of my eye
I barely noticed you at first,
My god, you really look different around your friends
I could tell you hadn't seen me yet
Your smile was undeniably bright
(As per usual)
And your laugh sounded gregarious as ever
Always the center of attention
Easy to be cool when you're the only one old enough to buy alcohol here
I happen to linger a bit too long
And suddenly our eyes meet,
You a deer in headlights
My heart nearly exploded right out of my chest
