Tangerine,
sweet.
Bounce and fizzle,
bright.
Excitement and joy,
glamour and sequin- shining like a
star. Gold.
I live for tomorrow,
drink and laugh, happy
just to exist.

Anger, rage.
Hate,
they cloud the stage.
Blind
fury- shattering glass
and smashing the walls. Slicing open
a vein.
Bleed and scream. I see red.

The fiery god
I brush my nails
over amber bottles
making music
at eleven thirty
before my shift
slowly wraps up,
sometimes I still
taste those fiery
gods fuelling in
the back of
my throat
but they fly
out delicate
as monarch
butterflies
in summer.
