Troubled, distressed
trauma and woe
unwavering discomfort
enduring sorrow
Feelings of anguish
consumed by despair
unfortunate hardships
a heavy cross to bear
Amid charred ashes
of loss and tragedy
existence, not living
bounded, unfree
Such is suffering
this human condition
seemingly endless
with no remission
Twilight of death
a wretched place
ultimately necessary
that I may find my grace

when I was young I was a hellion
looked down on by the world
I had no problem with anarchy
until I found love
and that was all that mattered
straight laced for her sake
holding her extra tight tonight
for tomorrow
I’m back on my devil shit
as I unbury my guns
all I can think of is peace
what the fuck is peace
for a person like me?
should of know they’d never let me be

thought I could run away
but those demons keep lurking
