Forbidden Thoughts
As I sit at my window watching this winter storm, I am invaded by thoughts of my past and how things could have been. I think of a particular past lover, one who knew my body like it belonged to him. I used to write often of our trists, and naughty sessions. Looking back I'm thankful I never spoke of my feelings and played it cool. The more we met and talked, the more he had me falling for him. I, of course, never let him get even a clue. I didn't want to scare him, and I didn't want it to end.

Words Colony
Out of the blue in my words colony..
On cloud nine in my words colony..
The ball is in my court in a words colony..
As an orphan of words am offering
Not a thanksgiving
Words only written
Touring in my castle
Something all you tourist must either read, rhyme or reason

Train
Metal against steel.
Fiery carbon, made to go over tracks, hot rolled.
That distant bolt of light, spreads a blinding sheath, as it rolls on.
It's far-off whistle, becomes a horn, drawing closer....
Sharp curves, are intense negotiations.
Rumbling grows rhythmic, as an axel reaches stride.
A fire bellows, swelling the air with exhaust, & grey determination.
The blackened sky, is turned golden with it's smokestack lightning.
Squealing, like a second wind, & grinding to a stop....
Having finally arrived.
