THE TRUTH OF SPRING
Time ticks faster for winter
For what's left of it,
Soon will disappear
Two seasons that bond in a locket.
Spring slowly forms a ring
Around many fields
Posies, posies as birds chirp and sing
Miles of soft warmth to blossom hills
Trees swift and dance
Leaves rhythm with winds breeze
An immaculate nominance
That triggers a serenity, Reese.
Pastels that enrich nature's touch
Easter is soon to transition its true colors
That is promised to us through Jesus's cross
Teaching us Faith,...
For what's left of it,
Soon will disappear
Two seasons that bond in a locket.
Spring slowly forms a ring
Around many fields
Posies, posies as birds chirp and sing
Miles of soft warmth to blossom hills
Trees swift and dance

That is promised to us through Jesus's cross

Spring My Savior
Finger prints pressed on the foggy window
Slow breath cleared a centrical view
How has Spring once more betrayed me
I’ve pleaded with her to come and save me
Cold breeze stung my configuration
Bright big sun that brings no warmth
Have you no shame, Spring’s false prophet
How much longer will you make me endure
Sunset flickers on the fresh snowfall
I long for beauty that can be grasped
Without relinquishing all my feelings
Spring please thaw me from the inside out

Sneezing Season
Admiring daffodils as they start to arise
Erecting from roots up to clear blue skies
Eyes are watering but it's not from a cry
Sneezing begins as pollen quickly rise
Despising allergies as nose begins to run
Loving scenes but snot blowing is not fun
The Sun's shining so whining ain't allowed
I'll just keep staring at marshmallow clouds
Erecting from roots up to clear blue skies
Eyes are watering but it's not from a cry
Sneezing begins as pollen quickly rise
Despising allergies as nose begins to run
Loving scenes but snot blowing is not fun
The Sun's shining so whining ain't allowed

Because it is Spring After All
Surrounded by lights in the dark
The birds sing
To make their voices heard above the traffic
Because it is spring after all
The breeze is warm through the window
And tomorrow the sun will shine hope
Into my box of a room.
Because it is spring after all.
Sunlight fell across my feet yesterday
From the west
And I smiled
Because it is spring after all
The birds sing
To make their voices heard above the traffic
Because it is spring after all
The breeze is warm through the window
And tomorrow the sun will shine hope
Into my box of a room.
Because it is spring after all.
Sunlight fell across my feet yesterday
From the west
And I smiled
Because it is spring after all

Repurposed
Rot now, old leaf, and by new growth be hid
to make way for squirrels to leave the nest
and by a better morning be caressed
in sunlit warmth with the ephemerid.
And rot more, dead frond, in the evening dew
to damp the soil for the fresh cahoots
of microbes and their symbiotic roots
in Gaea metabolic course anew!
Disintegrate! Putrefy! And decay!
Moulder as you did in the famed era
of Aphrodite and maiden Hera
to feed their blooming Olympic display!
And by the Lethe waters underneath
weave our future...

No compositions by Vivaldi
I was born in the twilight of centuries,
when the sun, tired from its journey,
sinks into the golden horizon
and the moon emerges shy and silvery.
O nature, wise and ancient,
you owe me the sighs of the trees,
and the murmur of the dancing brook.
The scents of wild flowers.
You owe me the whisper of the wind
that caresses the leaves and hair.
And the embrace of the ground, firm and welcoming,
that supports my uncertain steps.

On an early spring evening
The daffodils are blooming,
and the flowery white trees.
All around the branches
are baby green leaves.
I hear the ice cream truck.
The temperature
rolls in a breeze.
.
.
Wild garlic.
The early woodpecker drumming,
An evening dove,
A man fixes his fence over there,
using a yellow hammer.
and the flowery white trees.

Buds
The blood red vibrant buds on the trees ignite
in a chaotic emergence against the pale blue sky.
The infant spring sheen of the warm sun,
beckons my mind into a garden of oblivion.
Heavy thoughts are lost to the miniature whistles
of the happy house finch.
Breeze sweeps crumbs of dreams that were never clinched.
Penetrating the soul's rich soil
are fresh buds of ideas that have remained loyal.
Before blossoms burst, my black dirt voraciously thirsts.
And then joyous daffodils destroy winter's curse.
in a chaotic emergence against the pale blue sky.
The infant spring sheen of the warm sun,
beckons my mind into a garden of oblivion.
Heavy thoughts are lost to the miniature whistles

A New Season
Winter suddenly hides away
waterfalls once frozen
flowing downward into the bay
Lonely sidewalks decay, after before
suddenly spring has arrived
the end of the bridge lies an open door
Broken dreams picked up where they last fell
the emotional wasteland sleeps again
my love through words, encouraged to tell

flowing downward into the bay

suddenly spring has arrived
the end of the bridge lies an open door
Broken dreams picked up where they last fell
the emotional wasteland sleeps again
my love through words, encouraged to tell

The River is Flowing
The river is flowing freely once again,
After the long winters rain and snow,
Now I must pick up this ink and pen,
Spring’s fresh flourishing and all it’s glow.
I see the sun reflecting in the waterway,
The river is flowing freely once again,
It’s spring’s beautiful glorious display,
It brings simple joy to the hearts of men.
There’s a cool breeze every now and then,
As if winter’s frozen whisper melts away,
The river is flowing freely once again,
Spring’s warm embrace is here to stay.
Now that all the snow has...

Her Choice For Spring Break
Molly sat on the bed.
She's happy to be at Fort Lauderdale.
Her choice for Spring Break.

i cannot wait
i cannot
wait
of early
spring,
broad shoulders
of the sun,
swollen clouds,
the fields
and night,
the laughter
of flowers,
and
the hills
heavy
with dryness,
smothered
grasses,
leisurely
vacationers
drift in
and out
on the wind
singing.
