Snow Poems

Snow poems, here you'll find poems about the white stuff. Poems about snow, winter and the festive period. Ice crystals, snow flakes and fluffy white snowy landscapes.
Tundra
Always so cold and dry
with sea water all around
surrounded by a silent sound
beneath this all seeing sky
With little color to show
I cross the sandy beach
trying hard to reach
well beyond all that I know
For wisdom has its price
such a painstaking lesson
a sin in need of its confession
all about this cathedral of ice
Looking here deep inside
I have come to understand
bear tracks in snow and...

In Glacier Blue
You know that it is all true
all they say about glacier blue
these frozen tears within the ice
are from paying a precious price
Shed down through the years
when it is worse than it appears
when the right words are lost
for expressing such a cost
Yet there is beauty in sadness
sometimes rivaling gladness
how this ice can so emboss
my permanent sense of loss
With all this blueness everywhere
it remains...

Among the Ice
I float among the ice
pieces sharp enough to slice
cut through all these lies
sever all the alibis
Everything I do lack
all that holds me back
from who I long to be
from finally feeling free
Within the turning of the tide
every truth I ever denied
now coming into view
with a perspective ever new
Breathing deep the cold air
suddenly now aware
of the truth that lies ahead
beyond all I should have said
So, I then set a truer course
follow the way of the Norse
in such serious...

Glacial Musings
In this land of ice and snow
the pace of life is glacial slow
the face of truth forever blue
wherever any lie may be true
For I have journeyed a long way
just to have this chance to say
hello to my new self…
put the old me on the back shelf
Feeling the colder arctic air
telling me always to beware
of this scourge I left behind
with a new paradise to find
As I sit here safe offshore ...

the face of truth forever blue
wherever any lie may be true
For I have journeyed a long way
just to have this chance to say

put the old me on the back shelf

with a new paradise to find

You Deserve A Break Today
A man by the name of Chester was the owner of a McDonald's on the outskirts of Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Sometime in March 1980, he was driving North on Interstate 43 when he crashed his car.
There was a decent snowfall occurring with icy conditions.
His vehicle had crossed the median and into the southbound lanes before hitting a guardrail.
Chester was able to climb out of the burning wreckage, pulled off all of his burning clothes and stood naked in the middle of the road.
In a matter of minutes, Chester was run over and killed by an oncoming tractor-trailer. ...

A Wizard In A Blizzard
You'll never find a wizard
In a blizzard
They're far to wise for that
If you did find a wizard
In a blizzard
He'd be sure to be wearing a hat
Also if you did find a wizard
In a blizzard
He'd be sure to be wearing a cloak
If he wasn't
Then he can't be a wizard
In a blizzard
But just a dim-witted bloke!

Snowfall
The sunlight peeks through the clouds
A subtle gleam in the pristine white
You add a dash of colour with your locks of chocolate brown
Your smile is enough to set my soul alight.
The first snow is beginning to fall
They leave a wet caress upon your honeyed skin
I’m left intoxicated more so than by alcohol
As I yearn for our journey to begin.
I’m looking forward to the snowfall
Your love has gotten me through it all
What once was dark has now turned bright
My frozen heart has melted with your light.
My darling love,...

Continents of Snow
Stray continents of snow,
struggle to survive,
upon a heartless grass.
Swollen sun threatening to vanish
the remaining of the land's white stash.
While fragile tulips and hyacinth emerge unabashed.
March is born from a winter world
where life was torn.
The seasons of life persist.
A descending warmth & light
our hibernating hearts cannot resist.
Cold brutalities of our life
serve as a chance to fiercely thrive.
