sullen in the moment, waiting for your return
my soul reaches out to you
across the seas and great barries between you and me
letting myself drift, I find you treading the depths
my thoughts seek yours
we collect in midnigh'ts gaze
a starry night to get lost in
in perpetual motion, perfectly fluid you stay
your moving away from me
looking on while you go, I dream
of quiet mornings sipping coffee
a time someday, to be held

AS FAR AS YOUR EYES CAN SEE
It's me again the story teller of words ✍️ FOR I would like to take a break from all the negativity and drama and the chaos, 😔 That flows through the deepest thoughts of our mind, 🤫 as if you can picture thyself somewhere else, in another space and time ⌚ besides living between the here and now 😞 YET it is necessary as it is possible to just close off your mind, and picture thyself upon the 🏖️ beach with it's crystal sands beneath your feet and the morning sun coming over the horizon as you take a slow walk 🌄 leaving behind...

The Lost Books
The news announced the sinking ship;
water pushing its metal hull
off a gangplank of the straight
until it crumbled as crystal over rock
Planes spotted flotsam and jetsam
—pinched debris riding a caterpillar
of watery waves inching across the sea—
its waterlogged bite engorged
from strewn pages as leaves
sinking into a survivorless
translucency
Below, a commandeered army
—a delegation of new ghosts
manifesting posthumously
because sometimes Poseidon reads
while sitting peacefully at his desk—
allowing...

hitting sharp ocean tides
mixed in an undifferentiating
fusion of a pungently pleasant
fishy odoriferous ambience..
ah home this is
yes the sun firing as supersun
at 40 or more Celsius .. these
unstoppably streaming yellows
of a brightened sunflowering
noon .. in busy rushing crowds
with a musk of sweating stench
Ah home yes home
this sweltering heaven
Chennai 🙏

The Midnight Pacific
I dreamt of going to the beach
but the beach came to me
with all the colors to beseech
a midnight mind at sea.
And all washing in on a breeze
of sweet pacific air
and sweeter still through all the trees
of forests everywhere!
Then to an ocean sky I woke
of multi-layered gray,
wherefrom Poseidon gently spoke
his hydrologic say...
"Oh, when you finally get some sleep
when you were overdue
my spirits over land will creep...
and bring the sea to you"
but the beach came to me

A Sailor's Odyssey of Truths
Between the rocks of Scylla and Charybdes,
so voracious, so attractive, so hungry,
my heart sailed on a stormy sea.
Seeking the Mermaid, beauty in tenacious tone,
who lived on an island among the fearful abyss.
Maritime convulsions, disastrous results.
Scylla devoured the wanderers with her mouths.
Charybdes, the whirlwind, swallowed up the unfortunate.
In the cruel seas, the fearful sailed.
The islands were a mystery with a veil of illusion,
with shady palm trees and ivory beaches.
There my heart suffered, in solitude, ...

I just saw a video of Canadians getting tornadoes
While climate change deniers are still spreading doubt
A U.S. Senator escapes the freezing temperature
While people suffered and died in the terrible cold

Moonbeams

I contemplate, but I'm startled and seduced.
By the bone white gargantuan moon.
In it's sedating silence,
it sweetly loomed.
Over the dark lapping waters.
In attempt to calm my silent tortures.
Clouds, the steam
of day driven dreams.
Mingle with the moon's
brightest beams.
The shallow tide boasts
a turquoise ghostly glow.
To display the corals of
haunted thoughts lodged below.
Never fear the terror of your deep. ...

The Book of Things
They say to me in their awakening,
"You and the world you live in are but a grain of sand upon the infinite shore of an infinite sea."
And in my dream I say to them,
"I am the infinite sea, and all the worlds are but grains of sand upon my shore."

He had dreamed a dream and awoke to the feel of it as real. He lay in stillness with the thought until he could remember every part and then he arose and wrote it down. He kept a book of dreams though these he never showed but only kept and read, and perhaps in the margin later...

Rain on Water
Somewhere where it rains
is my hidden lifetime
where I'm comforted by cool flow
not hot stagnant air
i don't care
if I've been there before
I need to wake up to a new dream
where there is more
a foreign shore
where i breathe
with an ocean
kissed by raindrops
until it can't possibly be loved
any more
moonrise
covers her in a blanket of silver
I slip inside
and sleep
so deep
cresting waves and falling
breathing out to sea
breathing back to shore
