Soundwaves
Haunted dreams and and daydreams
And echoes of the past
The sound was just a shadow
The last
Gone as the sun went down
Blown over
With the tides
The sea now settled
Waves all crashed
And echoes of the past
The sound was just a shadow
The last
Gone as the sun went down
Blown over
With the tides
The sea now settled
Waves all crashed

The Collector
1.
Unusual, in the distance, stillness
beneath a hanging
wispy algae as it waves
a flag. The pelican
whittled down
to its base form. Stark, stranded, smooth-
an orange beak
like a bird of paradise and I sought heaven
in your duplicity, in your triplicity,
in your multitudes, a million
lights emerge
as static on the sea, I did not see it.
I believe wishes come

from the wing bone. Funny,
life is not a stranger, but death is....

a somewhat fishy occurrence
"Consider the subtleness of the sea; how its most dreaded creatures glide under water, unapparent for the most part, and treacherously hidden beneath the loveliest tints of azure..... Consider all this; and then turn to this green, gentle, and most docile earth; consider them both, the sea and the land; and do you not find a strange analogy to something in yourself?"

Names Of Guardians Of Delphin's See
There are many Names Of Guardians Of Delphin's See
Although there can only be one, the others cannot be
Poseidon, Neptune, Mazu, or even, Ran/Aegir
Or is it Tiamat, or Oceanus, or merely a nereid seer?
For in the darkest depths, of the eternal abyss
Immersed in Protean tales, mythology persists
So to which hydrocrat, is a dolphin's homage paid?
Or is it none of them, for they're all man made
The aggressive delusion, upon terra firm's, rife
And only in dolphin seas, is there intelligent life
For there's nothing beyond, a siren's...

Ocean
That old ocean,
salty and steady,
its stomach has been churning
since the day it was born.
Blue/ink-black in the depths
of open ocean.
Clear/Windex blue-turquoise green
at the beach, where the waves
constantly sift the shore sand.
That great salt pond that retains
the minerals rivers and streams
have brought from faraway places.
Who are we to know all its mysteries?
We stand at its edge in fear and wonder.
Curiosity and an adventurous spirit
move some to sail out of sight of land
towards the horizon, which is...

Waves crashing along the seaside
Beneath the diamond lit night
Dreams and fantasies
In the slipstream
Fading out of sight
In a seashell auditorium
Bathed in moonlight

The Doreen 'B'
When i was in the merchant navy
I did not have
A girl in every port (or fortified wine?)
I had a porthole in every gale
Which i had to make sure
That it was secure
Against a swelling seas might
I only once forgot
My cabin had a foot of water
Which is quite a lot
More than it oughter
And i had to remember that
My porthole, was not a portal
To a world, where the oceans lay flat
There were moments
Where the terror was stark
As we got caught in a severe storm
(a force eleven, is nobody's heaven)

Ocean in Motion
You don’t say that I’ve stopped trying,
I’ve already restrained myself from dying.
You see just a wall, white and wide-eyed,
There’s no word, but the truth you’re denied.
I’ve always loved the idea of flowers,
Changing with each passing hour,
Blooming in color, then fading away—
At least, someday, I’ll expect the change to stay.
You’ll never know what it feels like to be this way,
To give everything and get nothing in return each day.
You look at the sun, but it burns you down,
Caught in the heavy rain, I slowly drown.
