Drunk Off Your Shit
These hangovers I cradle
Swaddle freely as a fable
My soul sweeps itself under a table
My will to live is no longer stable
My existence becomes a tramp
Vagrant’s firepits I camp
My sympathetic heart you vamp

She came to say goodbye
We embraced and kissed and talked

The Pendulum.
Today I found a pendulum.
A way down the narrow twittens.
On my way to the park.
Crossing road at the zebra.
It twas beneath my feet.
Didn't recognize at first.
Bending over not backwards.
Cept for the glint of brass.
Would have passed it bye.
A pendulum was in my hand.
Oh I an omen took it to be.
In my head there's been a pendulum.
Rocking to and fro, in my pocket &.
My head a pendulum rocked to & fro.

She strode in, lighting the room.
Noticing her immediately.
A jolt went thought me.
I froze as she waved at me.
Or perhaps the guy sitting next to me.
I waved back in silence.
Avoiding eye contact.
As I'd been advised to do.
Definitely not speak to her in any way.
Told this would upset her so.
Avoidance & silence the strategic way.
Downward gaze as i passed her to the bar.
In the toilet had a breakdown.
Strong sense of mutual awareness.
Bought another drink avoiding eye contact.
Definitely not acknowledging her...

A canary bird in its cage placed near a window
a leafy tree of spring, where lesser sparrows sat
wished for the mystical word, freedom
Was the freedom the canary bird saw real or not

When it happened, I was very angry and I was also stunned.
