Sword from the stone
I gave my all
But I still could not pull the sword from the stone.
I know you put all your eggs on me
Made me your Moses and expected me to part the seas
Gave me the torch to carry your dream
In me you had hope
In me you gave your all
Despite all my faults.
And I tried and gave it my all.
But I still could not pull the sword from the stone.
Is it my lack of strength
Or the heaviness of my heart?
Is it my failures?
Or my lack of wisdom?
The sea stands before us,
and the wolves are...
But I still could not pull the sword from the stone.

Uncle Scam
All he did was make lots of threats
and still he got the votes
from white folks with bajillion frets
stoked by kazillion gloats.
They were the smash mouth runagates
who mostly had it good,
except for all their mental states;
as brittle as dead wood...
where moral muscle had been found,
perhaps when they were six,
but now their morals are unsound
all due to MAGA tricks.
The kind that turns a decent kid
into a raging troll,
like the kind who flips his lid...
when Bishops show some soul.
and still he got the votes

Feed it to the fire.
Shake off all the dead wood,
Chuck it on the fire,
As the wind blows stronger,
The flames climb ever higher.
It’s a mystery that we claim,
When we come into this world,
When we put upon our name,
And learn to shape its words.
All troubles are the allies,
Of the spirits we rely on,
That rough edges do us favours,
That there’s little use denying.
It’s a mystery we accept,
When we’re pulled between the worlds,
When we’re struck by flailing limbs,
With whipping stings, we learn.
Shake off all...

The things we need to do
These are the things we need to do in America:
Stop working for and buying from evil- this will take what some might call sacrifice, but we might call responsibility. Affecting bank accounts and profits is the only way to change some minds.
Start working for, buying from, and otherwise contributing to your community in as many ways as you can: volunteer, donate, bake and give locally and directly. Remove government, beaurocrocy and waste from what you give to and take from others.
Violence might help the process, but cannot stabilize us afterwards.

Upon the throne of shadows, doubt did cling
The Valois heir, a flame in tempest vast
Erect in poise, as marble gods in spring
Bore fate's great weight, unyielding to the blast
Beneath his feet, the soil of France did groan
A kingdom cleft by war’s unholy strife
Yet, like the Parian stone, his form was shown
Unmarred, a sculptor's dream brought into life
The Seine did whisper, winds through arches vast
Of triumphs yet to come, of crowns foretold
And every pillar, every stone, held fast
To echo Valois' tale in ages cold

Maybe she is barren but she wants one
Couple goes to the clinic hoping they can deliver
IVF recipe gives dreams to the unecumberded
Get home late didn’t see the text
All I see is I’m becoming a mother
Go to the hospital with dreams realized
On the way turn on the radio they said
IVF is against the law
So we go back to the family home
All that greets us is our Cats
Maybe she is barren but she wants one
