Poems About Regret
#regret
Poetry about regret and remorse. These poems about regret take us on a painful journey, exploring mistakes, missed opportunities and feelings of guilt for failing to act. We all have regrets in life, whether we actually did something wrong, or have guilty feelings for something which was out of our control.
.
Someday (You're Gonna Pay)
Someday You're gonna pay
For all of your evil ways
Someday, someway
You're gonna regret that
You threw our love away
I would never say
I told you so
When you went astray
You were making a mistake
Playing a foolish game
Even though you hurt me so
I forgive you in my heart
Wish you all the best
It was just so sad
Watching the way you changed
For all of your evil ways
Someday, someway
You're gonna regret that
You threw our love away
I would never say
I told you so
When you went astray
You were making a mistake
Playing a foolish game
Even though you hurt me so
I forgive you in my heart
Wish you all the best
It was just so sad

Coward
I know not what to do,
But my heart is in pain,
I know not if what I do is right or wrong,
I just know that I do it because I am a coward.
We have been friends forever,
Yet when I no longer can hold back the tears,
I run away instead,
I hide my sorrows, I bury my pain.
When I see you, speak to you, or hear of you,
Pins and needles poke my heart,
My stomach sinks and javelins,
Penetrate my bowls.
My internals are in pain,
As though gravely sick,
My heart is in pain,
As though it were to stop any...

The Voice
The Voice”
I cannot cleanse the dawning of yesterday.
I cannot hold tomorrow at bay.
The hours lay crippled in a sea
Of the fate that now shall be.
I sing without voice to thee.
You hear with such pity.
It is such tears I long for
Lost in the waves that roar.
I yearn to gather their shadows
Within the waters that enclose
The silence of death that I sing
While my roses are blooming—
Ah! Would that I may watch them grow
But there are no flowers where oft I go:
Into yesterday, where all is dead...

WHEN THE PAIN GOES DEEPER
Why is it that you are just like those visions, that still continue to be awaken within me. Yet the deepness of my soul and mind screams in these silently dreams. Provoking pieces of evidences that is like opening a book once close. A book of the past lies coming back, from the deepness of the darkness of what is now fragments. As pieces of my heart and soul, but with broken tears still under the layers of layers of hurt and pain. That eventually become invisible to see, upon the surface of my skin hidden behind my eyes. For I loved you with all my heart, yet I was blindsided by your words....

Box Full Of Matches
I've skated through this
torrid life
a pyro
stench of gasoline everywhere
ready and willing to ignite
to burn down in a blaze of fucking glory
I have this neat trick
place the match head down
on the striker
using the thumb of my left hand to hold it
flick it with my right
it flares
a shooting flame that dazzles
through the air
they come closer
to see the spectacle
unaware
unsuspecting
combusting on impact
I hold them as they igniite
my arms and chest a ...

Turning Back Broken Clocks
I like to think you could have been
happy with me
I like to think I could
have held you in my arms
and kiss your cheek
and you wouldn't run
That I could have had you
if I would've asked
for you to stay
five more days
five more hours
five more minutes
But I can't change the past
I can't turn back the clock
Are you happy?
If so, I'm happy for you
happy with me
I like to think I could
have held you in my arms
and kiss your cheek
and you wouldn't run
That I could have had you
if I would've asked

Remind Me
You stole my sanity
she beats
her fists against me
as if she wants it back
naked
a pulsing nerve
her tits bounce with each hit
she’s rabid
and the cure is to batter me
with her demons
because it seems I’ve stolen
her ability to run from them
she’s decided my thick chest is home
an island to...

Sunset Sinks Into The Crying Ocean
a globe of fire flickering out
last rays are bright but offer
no warmth
drinks glide down my throat
in an abundance of ice
the cold comfort of fermented
sanity
a light buzz as the sun cuts through
the glint of waves
rocks crunch beneath my toes
I sit beside the esky
reflecting
a choppy sea of things I should have said
regrets tight around my throat
a noose
a slow burn
that has seen the world turn
a new way to measure things that are gone
I should have...

Abyss
I look at our photos and smile, a wistful smile, for mere a second, followed by a wave of heart wrenching anguish sweeping me off my feet, into the abysmal depths of my mind, where our memories lie, along with my regrets, my sorrows, my guilt, and the bitterness of self reproach.

My (romantic) love life
The B-52 stratofortress on the runway,
The pilot revved up its powerful engines
In due course, released the brakes
Barely a few feet off the ground
The huge beast lost power
Hit the ground
And crashed into flames.

Hit the ground

Seen From The Skies
Our statement stood
we couldn’t see them
in this dark night;
our evening’s serum
hindered sight
and their reflection,
brightly designed
for our protection
safety pylons
blared at us to
STOP.
In any case
we hit them hard,
our car spun forward
rubber screeching,
we start screaming,
sparks kept flying-
we closed our eyes
-before we knew it,
we went up in flame.
we couldn’t see them
in this dark night;
our evening’s serum
hindered sight
and their reflection,
brightly designed
for our protection
safety pylons
blared at us to
STOP.
In any case

we closed our eyes
