Adjacent Fires
Dreams are like sermons from false prophets
Grasping for that grain of truth
within a mind full of grandeur
Indeed, if it wakes me
I may jot down key words
around the edges of the current page
within my bible
That lays upon the nightstand
beside the bed
That word; Holy, glaring like a mockery
So I never close the book, to expose the cover
to my lifetime sins
when I'd digress from each commandment
Just to wait and see
if I get to wake up in the mornings

penniless in Le Havre edited stuff
Penniless in le Havre.
In the time of my nadir penniless in Le Havre
in the drizzle, I saw the blue neon light of a bar
I met sailors from my country
they gave me cigarettes and wine
also money so I could take the train home
thanks to the generosity of the poor
I had a pencil and a block of paper and tried to
collect my thoughts of what I was thinking.
Found I was more educated than I thought
that is what reading a thousand books does to your brain confuse
you to believe that you are better than others.

why is it that we who have no connection
with those who have the power of what
gets heard and published.
Today, we drove from Cascais to Lisbon
a drive that usually took half an hour
it took an hour more because of modern time
had upset the calculation
a modern society is measured by how many
cars are on the road at the same time
we who sit at home are in the news reminded
of this by those who call this progress
after this profound observation, the rest is
pointless history is eaten by false history

I May Be That Girl
I may be that disabled girl who's so sick she cannot work a normal job, but she's the artist that will save so many lives. She's the artist who knows that her art will heal herself in a way a normal job can't.
I may be that girl who was rarely ever chosen, rarely ever picked, but I know now that I will let love find me. I need many years alone. But I'm a caring individual who won't beg for love; I will things happen the way they're supposed to.

From out of darkness
Some say that we all know what is darkness and when it's time. ⌚ As a spiritual entity of another place. 🙏 BUT yet there are those who believe in life after death. ☠️ But yet the elders say it doesn't have to be that way, because your thoughts and spirit, will continue to live on in the after realms, in a different kind of mentally stimulation in a world. 🌍 Far away in the light.🕯️For sure out of the darkness of night, it can be a place with it's own shadows. Surely there's disorder within each mind
that graces the troublesome human race.
Why, necessarily, would it be kind
when chaos sparks thought all over the place?
The deviltry is in the details
which civilization will not master
when all it cares about are net sales
in the profit margin hereafter.
But chaos and creativity link
in the marbled columns of poetry
where order angels help the devils think
in divine terms of versatility....
prepared to host a devil's every thought
in the glory halls of the polyglot.
