Another lovely day in paradise.
The sky is coloured in orangy red
When from their wildflower bed
Adam and Eve gently rise.
All of nature breathes peace.
Playfully a fox chases a hare.
Sweet birdsong lingers in the air.
Sun warms a cat’s golden fleece.
A stroll through Garden Eden they take

In the shadows of a love once bright,
Where whispers of the past take flight,
I wandered lost, a heart in pain,
Through shores of sorrow, in the rain.
Each memory a thorn that stings,
Of broken wings, woken dreams
A love that soared, then fell apart,
Left echoes deep within my heart.
But time, the healer, eventually came,

Death is not destruction.
The wheel of life turns endlessly.
From smoke comes fire, from fire comes ash,
From ash springs life again.
Breath is born anew.
The fall of a tree is death,
The sprout of a seed is life.
Momentary sorrow, eternal peace.
The eternal rhythm of time.
