IMPOTENCY OF LIES
TRUTH
I've never forgotten
the lessons I learned from
the Dharma taught by
Tibetan Buddist priests
in my quest for enlightenment
and reality.
I've recently been resurrecting
and meditating on a principle
related to Yin-Yang, the power
and role of opposites:
There is light and darkness,
Day and night,
Good and evil.
Truth and lies.
Etched in my cranium
are the words from a
teacher:
"A lie has never liberated
anyone, it may make it seem
to be so for a moment, but
in the end, will be...

Crossroad
I've had to be strong for so long
Some days, it seems all I do is hang on
I throw myself at your mercy
and all I do is pray on.
You see, I've come to a crossroad
I am not sure which way to turn
But Lord, I know that you love me
And I've still got lessons to learn
So stay here beside me
This uprooting is so very hard
I need you now more than ever
And you've brought me this far
Sometimes, life is overwhelming
Don't know which path to go...
Some days, it seems all I do is hang on
I throw myself at your mercy

Spring Mirth
Plush olive and maroon leaves
tempt my weariness with a reprieve.
Flaunting their secret scarlet beads.
Blossom with a lusting thirst for
spring rain's, gently weeping eyes.
From a milk white sky, one for which
the dogwoods vie.
Birds soar the mood less sky.
They fly right through the lingering goodbyes.
Echoes in the air that had no care to die.
The ones that had no why.
Like hungry winter parts with floral spring.
Barren bark and blossom had their fling.
The magnolia had no care with her lavish flowering. ...

Ghost
I seek the solitary places in the darkness
where my soul becomes unhinged
and I rise into the abyss
touching other spirits evolve into mist
my memories touching the aether
blending time with breath
I ascend into the heavens

Winter’s Thaw
frigid
night air
pierces
new holes
through
my heart
it’s the start
of spring
birds sing
last year’s
crisp leaves
graze the
frozen ground
with a sound
like dry brush
strokes
that evoke
all the senses
wind is reckless
a painted canvas
of neon sunset
hangs overhead
chitter chatter
can be heard
from chipmunks’
holes
stretch my toes
bugs buzz
around
our home
but it’s still
a bit too cold
for flowers’
arrival
their survival ...

Eos rising...
dawn brings shaded longing
when hope falls shattered around weakened ankles
binding feet in tortured place
defeated & depleted
unable to escape
when night once held such blinding promise
only to crumble ugly around the edges
fading slowly into jaded reality
and red-rimmed eyes scan hazy horizon
finding nothing in sight but echoing fog
empty skies & overcrowded tombs
amidst the decay of a hallowed place
where roses grew & love once bloomed
naked limbs shiver uncontrollably
rags of what was torn at the seams ...

Midnight Conjuring

Even in death,
dark thoughts rot mine soul
That which I kept inside
has made its way out
that which was hid
among mine seven deadly sins
conjured,
In the midnight sun of the necromancer
vivianite bones
Old and decrepit
darken green blue & black,
```~~~… ...~~~```
That which was hid inside,
has found its way out
And am left as dead things among the living
In the valley of dry bones

Even in death,

Rebirth's Journey
a soul's travel in space and time
fulfillment of existence's grand design
weaving in the threads in rich tapestry
rebirth's journey being a cosmic dance
diving into birth in countless land
enchanting in its journey
riches in experiences
in evolution of mind and form
from dusts working towards the sublime
from the loamy soil
ethereal in its first burst
a blade of grass emerges
hearing the cosmic thunder
of creation
caressed by the sun nurtured by the rain
as nature sang it's creations into being ...

Welcome Back Otter
If I were to return to earth in another lifeform
I would comeback as a Sea Otter
Be part of nature’s cycle and balance
I would be happy to live in the water
I’d be grooming and primping my thick coat of fur
Floating in the ocean under the California sun
Watching and waving at the whales going by
Diving for food and swimming all day would be fun
No matter what religious or philosophical views
Being a marine mammal would teach all a lesson
Perhaps bringing more awareness to humans
And the dangers to the ecosystems would lessen...

Blueprint
I am the architect of my life
I build the foundation
and choose its contents
Etched into the blueprint
of our birth is knowhow;
routes to overcome experiences
we set forth to conquer
By our own design
our fate was fashioned—
by sheer determination
