Innocents of corruption
In the shadows it lurks, corruption might,
A chilling reality that haunts the night.
Behind closed doors, a web of deceit,
Where power and greed mercilessly meet.
A tainted, poisoning hearts,
As trust and integrity slowly depart.
Bribery and fraud, their weapons of choice Silencing justice with a deafening voice.
The innocent suffer, their dreams crushed,
While the corrupt thrive, their conscience hushed.
Promises broken, lies whispered in of pain and tears.
But amidst this darkness, a flicker of light,
Courageous souls...
A chilling reality that haunts the night.
Behind closed doors, a web of deceit,
Where power and greed mercilessly meet.
A tainted, poisoning hearts,

Trust In Your Teachings
I've never feared the wild animal
Whether she may come through me
My children
Through those that I feed
My kindred
Spirits
Whom keep me alive
I do not find despair
In hope
In faith
That my hand has touched my children
And made them warriors
All their own
For you fear the question
Emanating from their fresh lips
Do you recoil?
Due to your blackness
Or do you shed darkness
In willful submission
To ones own fears
Do you raise your hand
To strike the child
With...

obey the law > obey the rules> just obey
It doesn't matter what you think or say
Draw inside the lines
Use the approved color crayon
How did this servile servitude spawn?
Hate speech can never be contested,
if I don't like what you say I'll have you arrested
Weep then for all that we've lost
and the incomprehensible cost we've paid
The first freedom on earth
is now the lock on our invisible cage
I rattle the bars and rage,
I'm a free man not a number,
I'm a free man,
man,
man,
echoing...

I think of five seats
Five
Such a small number
And the large elite
Small
In mentation
Not stature
What a sniper bullet
Or five
Would do for fear
Like I said
Piercing the veil
Right through five heads
Would it shake the foundation
Of which you stand fertid
Knowing
Indestructibility
Is an illusion
How time has comforted
Knowing
There are more of us than there are of...

Lady liberty carries a sword.
They said god's will save us.
They said guns will protect us
They said punishment will teach us
Instead god's need us to kneel and obey,
Instead their guns killed us,
Their punishment broke us
This is why lady liberty carries a sword.
Is this why they use violence to enforce the law?
Is this why they use hell to enforce religion?
Is this why they use education to enslave how we think.
Is vengeance another form of justice?
Is fear the only way to achieve peace?
Is this the reason lady liberty carries a sword?

Strike
You are not allowed to assemble
Complain
Nor make any trouble
Never mind the boot crushing into your neck
Keep breathing with whatever air you can get
Don't fight
It's not your living right
Don't strike
We've passed the legislation
YEAH RIGHT
Did you forget the fires set up on the union houses
The matches to your pad where you were cozy with your spouses
Comfy in your countless count feather down linens
Now charred as they tie em round your neck and your women's
It was illegal then
Yet...

Embers in A New World
Dear masters of the industry
You can dish out longer mileage, battery
Every year, new electric cars
Then charge charge charge
Solar panels as an industry
Longer life
Smaller
Discreet
Every year
Dear dear
Are you behind on China's gears
You so worried you'll die out
Why don't you invest in the new
If you don't wanna fade
Invest in the future we brew
Because you are running out of time
Wars for water don't care about a dime
Death over food don't care about your...

Thin Line <pipe> Mutiny vs Revolution
Mutinies, rebellions born of unrest,
Whispers of defiance, a call to contest.
In the shadows of power, they rise and take flight,
A flame of discontent, burning through the night.
Lost revolutions, some would proclaim,
But echoes of resistance, they still remain.
The oppressed and disillusioned, they rise as one,
Seeking liberation, their battle just begun.
In the heart of mutinies, passions ignite,
A struggle for justice, to set things right.
For when voices are silenced, and freedom suppressed,
Revolution's seed grows in...

Rebellion
Unseen angels duel with my demon beasts.
Unknown's claw at my fragile glee.
Unsaid's gnaw at my deepest needs,
however primitive they may be.
Unable's taunt my thoughts and bones.
The universe whispers it's beyond my control.
Unwanted's stained with the blood of my
wounded dreams.
Uncharted mountains of me,
where undesired's choose to flee.
Unbelievable realities,
You've underestimated me........

inks on fire: random sketches 05
war and reason
all the broken pieces
“He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you,
but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8
the implements of war
leave their unsightly scar
where reason, taken to the test,
would kill the guns that spar
but instruments of peace
can human hearts release
to bond the broken cords of love
with binding elbowgrease
life is a transient day
fleetingly swept away
justice, mercy, humility: ...

Secret High
Pandora connects
familiar sound of pick marching on muted Gibson SG strings
followed by mind blowing
(depending how cranked up the volume)
buh ba da buh ba da buh badubadabadu!
I’m transported to 1980
sixty to seventeen in 1.5 seconds
a kind aunt hands me an obvious,
no-shaking-necessary Christmas gift
based on the large square, super thin shape
It’s an LP record
intrigued by her selection
last year she gave me “Commodores”
featuring “Brick House”
quickly tearing away the wrapping
revealing a “Batman” black cover ...
