The Real Enemy
You’d best chain those super-rich before they chain you.
But oh, my dears, you’re too busy fussing and fighting
with each other to take notice of what they’re up to.
They’ve got all the money.
Or they’ve got control of all the money.
They—or the public relations strategists who work for them—
started all the fusses, all the fights.
They set all the fires.
And you got spooked, hooked, hoodwinked by one or more of the various traumas
they’ve cooked up to distract you,
the various conflagrations they’ve arsoned—real or...

A Modest Return
The dupe prefers a midnight shade to snare a single hide,
Drafts the freely given dark for ends you long denied.
Doesn’t need your genuflection, yet demands your sole attention,
Waited long to seize your mind, your behaviour modified.
Stumble if you want to, but I’ve seen it overtake you,
Now you forfeit what was once true,
For a modest return.
Scriptoriums in dusty hills announce the new diversion,
The flicker show grants its favours to the picture-perfect person,
Flung afar from every platform, deft manoeuvres make us conform,
We can...

Trump can eat a dick (and so can you)
cowards hide their tails
guess it's best to lay your head low
might buy you some time
before they lead you to the gallows
hope is a strong word
in a country that lost its soul
forgiveness can be given
with admitted fault
at least that's how it used to be
history is dark, just tell it like it is
you ravish in your luxuries
while denying reality
that murders got you that
rapist and drug dealers got you that
and innocent people suffered
so I guess it's no surprise
that descendance of the KKK
would put all...

The Puppeteers' Play
They share the world as if it was their own
Carving borders into flesh and stone
A puppet-show with power strings
While we dance to the songs their greed still sings
Bomb Iraq; and we’ll pay you with gold
Arms in their hands; but the truth stays cold
Blood spills cheap when the market’s right
And war is just business wrapped up tight
Israel rains fire; Gaza is dust
Children in graves; their names lost to rust
Peace is a myth; when profits are high
When nations decide who should live or die

Where Power Wears Wisdoms Face
We rise, not from the ashes—
but from the blueprint of our boldest dreams.
A world reborn, where power wears wisdom’s face,
and justice is the rhythm in our every breath.
Look, children of the dawn—
see how the sun blesses steel and circuit,
where heart and code, flesh and algorithm,
sing a hymn of human grace.
No kings, no charlatans, no silvered lies—
Only minds, fierce with knowing,
only souls, tender with care.
The council, not of conquest—
but of craft, of calling—
where merit is a monument
and truth...

in the heart of auburn equatorial sun
drumming wild with wet thunderbeats
of shrinking craniums & surfacing
uraniums- with winking tricky glints
of golden diamonds, busy feeding
the bloodied cartels
where also the social bonobos
still thrive in the feminine reigns
enriched by the gushing wide
riverine Congo & the falling high
Zongo in sand~ slurried screens
i stand (fading pale and blinded
as a frailly miniature grouped out ant ...

The Cry of The Hungry
In the land where the sun kisses the soil
Where abundance once sprang from honest toil
Now hunger prowls... like a restless beast
And famine mocks every hoped-for feast
The yam barns are empty... the granaries bare
The fields once golden... now stripped of care
Scarcity spreads... like harmattan dust
A bitter curse... on a broken trust
A goat tied too long... will chew the rope
But here even ropes... can’t kindle hope
The people cry... their stomachs hollow
Yet promises are all they’re forced to swallow

Chains of Freedom
Hold up
Don’t talk
Or the grim reaper will steal your voice.
Words turn weapons stripped of choice
Next you're in cuffs
Bound and subdued
Dragged to halls where fairness is skewed.
“Arise my Lord” the bailiff calls
But justice has crumbled within those walls.
Judged for truths you dared to say
Now silenced tossed like waste-away.
In the jungle of law where power preys
Your rights dissolve in a smoky haze.
In the heart of the city beneath neon lights
Lies Mide a dreamer who fought for rights.

The Oblique Throne
Beneath the veneer of gilded eminence,
Where banners whisper of liberty’s pretense,
An insidious pestilence threads its way,
A labyrinthine decay in the guise of sway.
Bribes clink like spectral bells in the void,
Transactions muttered, destinies destroyed.
Thus, the calculus of corruption unfurls
A calculus steeped in gilded whorls.
Men anointed by the faceless tide
Bargain the marrow of nations with pride.
Nepotistic skeins entangle the just,
And cronyistic engines corrode the trust.
What laws emerge from such infernal looms?...

It Seems
It seems everyone knows best
My way or the highway
My politics are the only way
And I won’t accept you feel that way
I understand and you don’t
And so we will be enemies
I cannot accept your point of view
It affects me too much
I’m not a snowflake I’m just right
I’m sensitive, my mental health is fragile
And because of the way I feel
I can’t trust my fellow humans
You were wrong
And to hell with democracy if it doesn’t go my way
Hang on that’s a bit religious hmm
American against American
It’s so sad ...
