Overstimulated
Tormented soul in need of sleep
Bloodshot eyes beginning to itch
Broken promises often turn deep
A secret buried in a shallow ditch
Time has caged this lonely beast
Made him the shell he’s become
Stripped him bare before the feast
Overstimulated by pain until numb
Bloodshot eyes beginning to itch
Broken promises often turn deep
A secret buried in a shallow ditch
Time has caged this lonely beast
Made him the shell he’s become
Stripped him bare before the feast
Overstimulated by pain until numb

Ideas
I didn't know there was a currency for an
Idea
I thought at least that was free
My dear
But what is coming off in waves of
I fear
Is that the cash in this cave is
insincere
Giving you what I got, was a token in a
pond
It caused too many ripples to stay afloat
or stand on
Wanted to give back what I
gravitated to
But the money is stacked against me, I didn't have
a clue ...

WHY I APPRECIATE POETRY
I have been asked many times,
"Why do you read poetry?"
"Why do you like poetry?"
The answer is simple and
involves many reasons:
I appreciate poetry
BECAUSE
...it stimulates my mind,
...it introduces me to new vistas,
...it helps me appreciate poets,
...it helps me to dare and write a poem too.
...it helps me raise new and challenging questions,
...it sometimes helps me make new friends,
...it doesn't take hard work to read a poem,
...it sometimes creates new and unusual desires,
...it makes the world more beautiful,...

Tree Tops and AI
moment to moment
in the shadows today
quietly listening to nature sing and grieve
things are swiftly changing
sometime my mind reels
seventies child...windy
watching the leaves silently sing
feeling the era
summer days were long
neighborhood children making up their own games outdoors
shaded afternoons up a tree dreaming
creating my own worlds
my favorite tree my protector
green my favored company
bike rides dreaming of the life I would like
and when my garden dream house would...

Love to a Gunfight
"We're bringing love to a gunfight."
~ Janiva Magness
Your enemies are your greatest teachers
—the ones who step on your triggers
revealing wounds that haven't yet healed
Each lesion that re-lacerates history
is an opportune time to decide
how we're going to react or reply
There are no coincidences in life
nor mistakes, only experience
lessons to spiritually advance
Thank those who perceive you
their adversary—their gift
is the greatest...

Devil's in human skin
Can you tell me why are we still dealing with the devil's in human skin, for sure when is it enough of the lies and false stories of the media networks. WHO just want to keep us separated and divided, as they want you to believe that what they are saying, that what they say is the truth. 🤨 Remember that in this cycle of life there will always be good versus evil, as the devil's in human skin, that they doesn't want you to think for thyself, about what you really want and need to sustain your own life. For even the shills are against you as well as they, try to blind you from seeing...

ODE TO RUTH WESTHEIMER 1928-2024 (DOCTOR RUTH)
Goodbye to "Doctor Ruth",
long were you in the tooth!
Sex guru from our youth.
you spoke of It the truth,
without being uncouth,
neither sounding aloof.

A Tale of a Cup of Coffee
It feels safe here
A gentle escape from fame
My disguise working well
Even the guy at the Deli on the corner
Didn't pay me no mind
I asked for hazelnut instead of regular
It smells great but taste is often lacking
The story of my life wraps around coffee
I tried so hard to achieve greatness
Now hiding from the very thing I thought I wanted most
Everyone wants a piece of your privacy
Selling my soul for headlines was a mistake
I couldn't have known then, to busy with my arrogance
Shit, he put sugar in my...

What's Left?
What's left?
Incomplete, battered
Bewildered, bereft
Underneath shattered
God give me strength
Send me an Angel
Who'll be discreet
And what remains
Laid out on sheets
Incomplete, battered
Bewildered, bereft
Underneath shattered
God give me strength
Send me an Angel
Who'll be discreet
And what remains
Laid out on sheets
