The spoils
I have longed for the season to end
Filled with steel
And tears
Dis-ease and the casualties
Making faith a liability
Weapons our bodies have had to be
To not die in the fires rampant on the street
I will do no less than rejoice
You and I are here
To give our swords to the sheath
My love, come near
Strip this war from our eyes
As victory
Is birthed a wonderous dawn
On our lips
Named...free
Filled with steel
And tears
Dis-ease and the casualties
Making faith a liability
Weapons our bodies have had to be
To not die in the fires rampant on the street
I will do no less than rejoice
You and I are here
To give our swords to the sheath
My love, come near
Strip this war from our eyes
As victory
Is birthed a wonderous dawn
On our lips
Named...free

Big small, world.
There are roughly 3 million people in Texas.
That's 3,000,000.
I am the only one who is me.
It's hard to feel special in the face of those kinds of oddly simple numbers as I had pointed out to someone.
When you see 3,000,000 you don't think of anything other then what you read.
Still for some reason I feel very...
Loved, unique and valuable.
Like.
I am right where I need to be.
Right where my purpose is.
God has set me right here.
Even though there are countless other unique lives and personalities and interests, I feel at home in this...

Last meeting for Peace
Potatoes danced under silver umbrellas.
Always jumping screws in a replay scene.
Silk stockings flew as light as hippos...
A political party is always pure clowning.

In My Arms
Come to bed and lay down your troubles for tomorrow.
Lay your head on my chest and listen to the sound.
It is as steady as my affection for.
Close your eyes and feel my lips brush upon your head.
Breath in the essence of me,
And find your calm.
When the sun rises. no one knows what it will bring.
But come to me.
In this bed.
In these arms.
And take my peace.

The room was so cold.
Having gazed long upon a dead thing,
there is a certain peace.
Beyond the stench of decay and the gag
reflex of loss and fear lives a quiet
reverence, a harmony of stillness.
Blood no longer moving pools,
the gravity of the situation calling it
to the earth. This creates beautiful hues
of reds and purples on the body, at least
half of it, but then we are all two
people aren't we.
Seeing my own reflection from the cold
stainless steel slab as I look upon them
I wonder about their stories, who they were,
what they...

Will You?
Ease my pain
and close my eyes.
Feel my heartbeats cease,
drifting to the blue sky.
Will you?
and close my eyes.

Will you?

Realization
There was a brief time
when I believed I would be okay.
I felt unconditionally relieved.
I knew that one day,
serenity would wash over me,
and I would feel healed.
It would squash the hurt
and forge a shield from that pain.
I swear I held it in my hand
and saw the possibility.
Glares of sunshine as a grand design
filled my lungs with life.
I tasted the richness
of what it felt like to feel alive.
I wasted no time diving
into the appeal of existence.
However, as I dove
I saw the abyss open its arms.

no strangers
each person
walking,
moving
on the
busy
sidewalk,
so many
happy
smiling
faces
in the
bright
morning
sun,
not looking
like
strangers
at all,
coming near,
passing
and then
more new
smiling
happy
faces not
looking like
strangers
at all.
