The Scent of Summer in Your Hair
The scent of summer in your hair
and the glint of oceans beneath sunbeams
the brightness of your eyes, supple as the
dawn's flower, fragile as the dream just
before waking
These hands though aged and rough
capture the contours of your skin as if it
were warm honey being poured over them,
surely more experienced than touched
it speaks to me
The rise and fall of your breath
brings harmony to my heartbeat and
synchronicity to the soul, my thoughts
noisily race, a babbling brook of
peace and love making
...

Too Sweet
You are too nice
too sweet & too
understanding
too sensitive
why don't you
suck it up lady
get a bit harder
why may i ask
Life is complex
and the world is
a broken place
yet, i refuse to
be cold & bitter
choose to love
and i do believe
this planet needs
empathic beings
respect & grace
peace & patience
and that, my poets
starts with ourselves
too sweet & too
understanding
too sensitive

Just Be
There was a lurid green sheen
to the ancient creek.
Sweetly haunted by
the secret summer reflections
of the leaves.
The sunbeams form brilliant white ripples
on the surface of the cool languid water.
What a perfect location for peace to loiter.
The gliding geese pepper the creek,
a visual feast of their natural pageantry.
I decided to just be.
In the moment.
In the immediate journey.
Let past and future worries flee.
to the ancient creek.
Sweetly haunted by
the secret summer reflections
of the leaves.
The sunbeams form brilliant white ripples
on the surface of the cool languid water.
What a perfect location for peace to loiter.

Elevate To The Gifts Of My Mind Then We Can Talk
Within the firmament of my sacred mist
So many have tied to find that spark, of a wandering free soul, upon the chants of the wind, an ordained divine gift
Bestowed way before the beginning of time
Held up to the sky, unto the Most High, blessed unto Heaven’s chime
No creature of great or small
He who stumbles, must first learn to walk again, then must learn to stand tall
My truth lies in my heart, and offered of its reaping to the mind to decipher, as you come to understand
Not upon land ...

Freedom
I sit with the wall that blocks us all,
The wall of pain, shame, heartbreak, guilt,
The vines of self sabotage and barriers covering the brick work
Our bodies feel the turmoil of hitting our heads against this wall
My parents done this, my partner done that, I should have done this, why did I do that
The armour of martyrdom and the thin veil of victim hood keeps us sitting with that wall
But what if we stood back from that wall, what if we changed the channel on the programming, tapped out of the endless maze, the tactical virtue of those at the big tables ...

Moving Away From The Past
I recently have begun my traveling as my path of destination(s) has taken me to encounter the ambience of such beautiful sites, towns, which makes up a state seen and viewed in its entirety.
Me and my besties were discussing this over some soul healthy and hearty food and casual drinks, giving our energy to events that had hindered or in some instances, progresses a state to be better, where its social economics thrive to make that city, its state more desirable to visit, and diversified to plant foundation roots.
As of late, I’ve had the pleasure to visit...

Sunrise
I couldn’t sleep
And the sun was already rising
So I decided to watch the sunrise
Might as well make my morning a bit more
Pleasant
And it was
Even though the houses were blocking my view
I could still see a few clouds and colors
It was peaceful
Quiet
It felt nice
I should do this more often
And the sun was already rising
So I decided to watch the sunrise
Might as well make my morning a bit more
Pleasant

Even though the houses were blocking my view

Witness
I witness the monstrous beauty
of the gargantuan mountains.
Awe fails to be an adequate sensation.
Time chiseled rock make up
the grandeur of the mountain's spine.
They have seen.
Heard.
Felt.
As if divine
The seasons, reasons, our inner treasons.
They are solid but silent witness's
The altitude will never tell,
and break the allure of the majestic spell.

The Tao in My Pocket
At rest in the Tao
undressing the violence that
had clothed me, standing naked
in the space between things
touching softly the petals of a
flower named memories
Beset by the tragedies
of youth and betrayed innocence
I dug my toes into the earth
and made fire, turned my face
toward the winds of war and
drank the water of apathy
Now, what seems to be lifetimes
later I see the duality of nature
no longer seeking to forget
the brutality, nor idolize it
Everything experienced deserves
its place...

Magic Deer
I was habitually lost
in a muck of random thoughts.
I approached the open front door.
My heart was magically floored.
A big deer stood close to the porch.
Head on he stared gently at me.
Into me, through me.
A creature of equal strength and grace.
Could he be memorizing my face?
Or was it the fresh flowers,
that he wanted a taste?
Poised motionless,
for what seemed so long.
He sprang forth into the back woods,
but the magic was not gone.
No need for a single human word.
A spiritual peace was formed. ...

Zenith of Zen
The crow perched at the crest of the tree.
Is in constant scrutiny of human monotony.
The robin wearing an auburn breast
hops along more casually.
The starling tucked in the leafy branch squawked.
Of his pipedream of being a hawk.
Life seems to just effortlessly transpire.
As if nothing is right and nothing is wrong.
Agonized thoughts seem a little less diar.
While nature's bursting with jubilant song.
When it hurts to be human,
Seek the natural world,
The zenith of zen.
