Hero, Monster or God
"Mythology can be defined as the sacred history of humankind. "
- Gerald Hausman
Peggysoarus
As silvered wings
shrug off the gale,
night descends long
her spectre pale.
High above it all,
soaring in the mists;
a soul gallops untethered
in a heavenly tryst.
To feel her heart beat
is to flutter great wings
and drift into sleep
as moondust she brings.

This is some of the worst poetry in the world, but I'm paid up.
Author of the Ferryman–12 hrs Dead
Hello, fans of the turnabout,
and the underworld.
I'm your host, the crazy Charon
I start again, once more, small steps through the mire –
its a landmine out here. But if this works,
if I make it through this small
test
of
myself,
I know they know not what they do,
but who's gonna take off the kid gloves and tell them
the truth, and not about Politics.
That...

Star Crossed II
By Souladareatease and Grace
HERO:
Boreas’ tantrum fills the dusk
Roars of anger, what ails he
Perchance bitter of Leander
Love of my heart, my passion
Lending surcease to my burning
Kindled by thirst for carnal bliss
LEANDER:
Beckoning light in Turquoise Tower
beacon so bright, the purposed night
Stands land opposite Hope
Heart of heart, soul of Soul
Wind blow of wicked cold
Poseidon, keep me from...

Dargos & Huldra: A frightening Norse tale of love
"How do you know my name?" He replied, turning his head to spot the silhouette by the door.
"Dargos..." She repeated. "Don't be silly; I named you."
Dargos winced as he faced the enigmatic woman who knew his birth name.
She appeared to be a farm maiden, her beauty unmatched in the outlands. Her angelic face framed with a mane of white gold, her skin radiant, as if illuminated by candlelight in the gloom of his deathtrap.
"Have you forgotten me?" She smiled.

The 8th Dimension Gods (Mugwort Incense)
Eclipsing the feeling of a pulsating heart is a beautifully lassoed
Heart in midnight oasis bathes in its dew to fortified its console
Craves to blend, as we perfectly mend
Under red satin covers
Feel the fire of pure lust, my sweet and silken abyss in the twilight slumber he tenderly smothers
In the darkness he calls me upon my ancient Arabic name
He is known in Hebrew and in African dialects as, Sedah, I am his most powerful highest dame
My soft enervation for him in past realms known beyond the...

The Myth of Mythos
"We need images and myths through which we can see who we are and what we might become."

MYTHOS AND LOGOS
In Ancient Greek ways of thinking, patterns of imagining, and waves of feeling Mythos and Logos appear as fraternal twins. Both carry a range of meanings, which lead time and again to the same essence 〰 captured in the English symbiont word.

The Symbiocene in Waiting
"A word is more than a mere combination of letters and sounds.
The potency of words reaches the substrata of all of us.
Words carry culture, carry history;
they form and confine our thoughts.
Words matter."

THE CHTHULUCENE & OTHER MINDBENDERS

Words from the Cracks
It seems like things want to fall apart.
It seems like we’ve been stolen from home.
Where do you go when things fall apart,
when home has been taken away from you,
when the cracks appear?

ANTHROPOCENE
The current era of human history is sometimes called Anthropocene, the ‘Age of Man’. All previous word composition with -cene (from Greek kainos = era) 〰 like Miocene, when the Alps and Himalayas were formed, and Pleistocene, when glacial periods caused extinction of many...

Phemes Infamous Brood
"We make a space inside ourselves so that being can speak."
〰 Martin Heidegger 〰
RUMOUR
In last week’s wordcast we met Pheme, the daimona of fame and rumour in Greek mythology. In everyday language, the Greek word pheme simply means ‘speech’. It is fairly alive and familiar in the English words blasphemy and euphemism. Less so in the linguistic term pheme itself (= word as a grammatical unit).
Ancient Greek and Roman philosophers held the daimona (Pheme / Fama) responsible for anything related to the spreading of stories via...

Black Fire (Earth-COTS)
Dreadful ones who upon pardons slithering in dark makeshift hot worlds
Bedazzling alibis summonses in belief to snare empresses to fizzle out the unfurl
Deceit plays in the tinier of the ill begot
Reign as sovereign of the abyss below lessened unto evil spirit as thots
In your dreams, your mind, your book of revelations keeps running to the light when hell is getting too hot
High above the blowing breeze I give the meaning to life to petals embedded, stems to sow ...

Darkness Entwined
Passion we surrender unto the carousel of our insentient sinful souls
Ethos in the gift of an illuminating moon patrol
Coats of craving, feels like a chocolate seduce
Catered minds yearn, under a Blood Moon recluse
Heaven’s paradise we shall conform
Wicked passion we cradle come hither, my skin your lips softly adorn
In my arms tonight, Eve’s kisses upon your skin, your tongue slithers...mmm... to relish in the...
