African muse
African muse
smoky as Abyssinian coffee
aged in a whisky barrel
her heart
dappled
by the tiger balm of summer,
Artemis dawns
komorebi
of my dappled lioness
sun lace
(komorebi, Japanese word for the soothing nature of sunlight filtering through tree leaves.)
lioness
roars in coffee mountains
echoes of Abyssinia
smoky as Abyssinian coffee

birth of November, Samhain
born out of brightness
cairned quest
sun light
beckons
drumming vocals
mimicking endings
fae sisters
nameless ones
hear chestnuts fall
opaque oak
surrenders
robed within a robin
ancestors of place
land
people
flora fauna
four two and many legged
root
nectar
saplings
harmoniums speaketh
I breathe signatures
into white rose leaves

myth of the myth
do you think the Phoenix
does not mourn the loss
of all that came before
flaming feathers
an agony of memory
as they burn to cinders
remembering...
remembering...
& do you not believe
they remember
everything
each moment
beautiful & broken
in those previous days
aching...
choking...
keening their pain
into smoke-filled skies
lungs thick with ash
voice hoarse & ragged
echoing...echoing...echoing
into haunted silence
...

Four Times The Size Of Planet Earth
"Doctor, ive got a pain in my anus (ah-nus)"
"Don't you mean anus? (ay-nus)"
"No!"
"It'e pronounced differently now, because
of the changing in the pronounciation
of rhe planet Uranus now ur-a-nus"
"Ur-a-nus?"
"Yes doctor"
"Not Ur-ay-nus then?"
"Well, that's what i'm here for!"
Upon examining....
"Well, your anus, is four times the size of
planet Earth!" declared the doctor
"I blame it all on Cronus
It wasn't Uranus's anus ...

A Home Beneath the Waves
Deep...deep down where the light gets lost
in the perpetual void of eerie, trapped voices
the yearning laments fill the desolate space
of the kingdom that once was.
The moon, so bright and mighty through the night,
guides the cold, relentless stillness of time.
The mournful sky knows the place
of the legend that is lost and now lies asleep.
Deep...deep down, the thundering seas but awake in our cherished memories.
in the perpetual void of eerie, trapped voices
the yearning laments fill the desolate space
of the kingdom that once was.

The Hall Ball
I recently
Ventured on an historical investigation
After hearing an allegation
Of a former world leader,
Now dead
The only evidence per se
Came from the lyrics of a song
That gave it all away
So i travelled to Londinium
To a well known landmark within
Upon explaining the reasoning for my mission
They did not share my vision
And kicked me off the premises, for my sins
But as i was led awayI somehow managed to say
"I only wanted to know
If one of Hitlers testicles was on show
As i had heard his missing ball ...

A War Of Hearts (Helen Of Troy)
Yes, bring to me this Helen of Troy
She is the woman where her name is written upon ancient strolls, her debauchery to use men as manipulative toys
She claimed my soul in the middle of the night
Her kiss of betrayal lead to the Trojan War in the dawn before early’s light
A femme fatale of beauty, grace, decorum, her temple of shroud holiness, has deceived the masses
Broken alliance among the wealth of many classes
Her alluring soul, entwined unto mine has diluted Kingdoms into bloodshed and sword upon its clashes ...

Giving It The Glad Eye
recently noticed
Ive received over 354,000
Views of my poetry
Doesn't mean it's any good
It's just been seen a lot
Like potholes in the road
If all these viewers
Were Cyclops
(ie; eye eee)
This would equate
To over 700,000 Cyclopsian views !!!!
Nice to know
They're keeping an eye on my poetry!

For You (Greek Mythology Poem)
For you, I'd slay The Nemean Lion, with my bare hand.
Bring him back, laid out, in the very place that you stand.
I'd climb Olympus, & rising on The Mount,
Number all your beauty, to The Lovely Aphrodite, until the point I could no longer count.
For you, if you asked, it'd be no big thing,
To go up, ducking lightning, & thunder, & bring Pegasus down, hanging onto a wing.
And, if you wanted answers, from the all powerful Zeus,
I'd confront him, demanding those answers, reporting back, with no excuse.
For you, I'd fight...

Her Name Is Paradox
A linear, mystical, being.
With entryways, like oak.
Where abstaining is as touching, & touching is too seeing.
Her name is Paradox
Her body was statuesque, likened to an aureate stair,
Ascending to Heaven's third level.
As lengthy as her body, her bundled hair.
Her name is Paradox
Her halls, they will envelope you,
A forbidden door welcomes you in.
Her pain is pleasure through, & through
Her name is Paradox
Her mezzanine, like curtains draped,
Her dermal folds come undone in the...

Medusa and the Argonaut
Medusa and the Argonaut
Medusa captivates the curious Argonaut with her smoky Greek brogue whose music is like the best song of Calliope wooing her man. “Hi ho, explorer of the far seas of Oceanus. Whither goes thou sailor?”
“The legend of your gaze precedes you. I have heard of your snake tresses and shall not follow the ones who have fallen into your spell only to turn into the marble like a Doric column upon the Acropolis.”
“Oh, prithee I shall not cast such a spell on a brawny man like you who has so much more to offer my female flower than to decorate my...
