Sometimes the story doesn't end like a fairytale,
I guess that's how it really goes when you stick on a merry-go-round.
The melody of us is now a haunting sound.
Tell me, baby, how do I make it stop,
When the world spins like a broken record,
Your voice is the needle scratching my heart raw.
I had it all but I lost it loving you,
Wish I had known before I fell.
The fall was bad, but unrequited love hurts like hell.
All these thoughts play around in my head,
Like a broken record telling me what to feel.
If I could escape,...

from its crushing depths
there's no coming back
a place reserved for you and me
for betrayals and deceits
your god has turned his back

This is how it begins, rules are set upon the rules
that make up your life before the sharks attack
misery became a part of me
before the world was wrought by apathy
livid illusions of endless disarray ...
