Desperation fuels chaos in the streets
While false idols continue to make war
Honest poets keep writing the receipts
That’s right we’ve been keeping score
Someday soon judgment catches us all
Pride hits hardest when forced to crawl
Evil people are cowards speaking in lies
Hiding behind wealth enslaved by greed
There is no light inside such barren eyes
Gotta block the signal then cut the feed

I Have a Weakness
I have a weakness for sexy shoes and lipstick
I own more foot lingerie than any one woman should need
Baby, it’s not about that
These tiny lips of death
Don’t need enhancement
They do just fine on their own
Ask all those souls floating to Nirvana
But a woman requires a sword and armor sometimes
The battlefield of love and flesh

THINKING
I got up this morning
With poetry on my mind,
So I sat right down
And wrote the first line.
I am not writing poetry
To see a book on a shelf;
I write for one reason
And that's to please myself.

To face another day;
The words of my poetry
Started me on the right way.

The applause of men;
I have unlimited words

Under the moonlight, whispers grow,
silent secrets only shadows know.
