Poems about Luck & Being Lucky
#luck
Poems about luck and being lucky, here you'll find poetry about good fortune. Poems about success entirely down to chance, the idea that forces beyond our control can cause good or bad things to happen.
No One Is Home
In these woods we dared to be
Though tales were told of tragedy
Of monsters hiding deep in woods
We shan't believe them no one should
Though we don't believe these tales
Could there be more beyond the trails?
Each tree we pass we trek deeper in woods
Down comes the rain and up go our hoods
With thunder and lightning our minds start to wander
Could there really be monsters way out yonder?
Now we're lost cant see our way back
We're frightened we may be under attack
Now running and leaping through trees and...

Dopamine
I’d blame it on this Bluemoon
Wondering if I’ll finish this poem
Running out of time…
A concept I can drink around.

mission figs and God's good graces
sitting at the table
eating mission
figs
while listening to
chamber music
by my old friend,
Purcell
one fig after another
and I still don't have
any answers to
life
in the sky
the sun laughs
the birds turn to
turds and fall
from the trees
the last fig
gone
(like
you)
i wash my
hands
drink some
water
go upstairs
to rest

the trains of cunning
The trains of cunning
Two men in a vast field of grain waited for the trains
to meet on a one-track railway line, one a mathematician
had worked out where the train would meet
the other was a reporter skilled in muddying the news.
Of the train drivers, one has a skilled hand used to getting
his way, the other was an upstart backed by western money
and told to call the older man’s bluff.
And there, in the brilliant winter light, they saw the trains
At great speed nearing, the point of no return.

How Did I Lose Her Again?
The first time Olia broke up with me, I felt as if my life was over.
I thought love had ended for her and me, but good fortune was on our side.
After about two years had passed, she tried to rekindle our love.
I couldn’t believe it when Olia called me and said she wanted to see me.
When I went to Olia’s apartment, she could sense my uneasiness.
She spoke to me kindly, and she made me feel comfortable around her.
I didn’t expect this to happen, but somehow, she took me back.
Olia forgave me, and she gave me a chance that I didn’t deserve.

She Walked Down The Street
She walked down the street in
a dress so tight and smile
mile long but walked past me
and to who her date was to be.

dream property prancer
the aura of the garden is stunning
statues like marble gods are sunning
this wildly familiar dream home
predictably finds me happily alone
with round hills rolling off in the distance
a sense of peace brings easy indifference
i return here in those vivid dreams
far more real than they might seem
while it’s clear that everything crumbles
an obsession with smooth can make me stumble
this realm of mine soothes and reminds
there’s more behind what meets the eye
i pray to live there when i die

Blonde Chick Walking On The Beach
I saw this blonde chick
walking on the beach
whose friends gave
her the name Cherry.
She said "hi" and
kept walking.

LUCK OR WHAT?
LUCK OR WHAT?
Do you think that there is luck
and it rains on one while he
is so thirsty up a dune
and he quenches burning thirst?
It is said that luck can make
rainy days become quite clear
when a woman wants the sky
for a picnic to be fair.
Lots of people get so rich
through a business of no worth.
They have little mind to use,
but their dumbness is the cause.
Is it luck or is it skill,
or can it be lots of work?
Some would say that luck is all;
others laugh at what they drawl.

Happy Coincidence
That two
fully functioning
human beings, capable
of language, memory, and
reflective thought, would choose the “yes”
of possible union over loneliness and fear is an
unlikely, but happy coincidence.

Embrace the void
Avoid to brace
Return to no womb
Turn left and then
go straight to hell
Follow the roles
of the major arcana
Leave all skeletons
in the armoir
Leave all the gates
opened and remove
yourself to another
kingdom.

Pill and Contagion…
Before the contagion he was lost!
After the contagion he was lost!
It was not cured with pills,
not cured with intravenous,
he did not heal in verse or prose.
He was just lost!
During the contagion he was in love:
He raved, dreamed, castellated winds!
