Poems about Luck & Being Lucky
#luck
Poems about luck and being lucky, here you'll find poetry about good fortune. Poems about success entirely down to chance, the idea that forces beyond our control can cause good or bad things to happen.
Into the Unknown
The day starts like
A blank canvas
I wonder what ?
Shapes & colours
The sunshine
Will bring
What joys what warmth
What feelings this day
will bring ?
The colours my mind will see
The feelings I perceive
"~It's truly down to me~"

The sunshine
Will bring
What joys what warmth

The feelings I perceive

This One's For Luck
Element: Sulfer
The Voodoo Connection
Deep in the Louisiana bayou, where Spanish moss draped like ghostly whispers and the air hummed with crickets and frogs, resided Mama Sulfur, the Voodoo Queen. Her stilt shack, a vibrant patchwork of charms, herbs, and gator skulls, pulsed with raw elemental energy.
Mama Sulfur wasn't your typical voodoo queen. Her magic blended ancient traditions with the bayou's wild heart. Her parchment skin shimmered with a faint yellow glow, a reminder of the sulfur that coursed through her veins. Her piercing eyes held...

Chemistry
The train rattled softly through the Georgia pines, golden hour spilling over fields of cotton like melted butter. I was scribbling equations in a weathered notebook—half-work, half-daydream—when the compartment door slid open.
She entered like a controlled reaction: precise, inevitable. Her curls were auburn chaos pinned with a pencil, and her eyes held the warm, calculating gleam of a labradorite gem. A faded "Standing on the Shoulders of Giants" tote-bag hung from her shoulder, stuffed with a biology textbook and a dog-eared copy of 'Cosmos'.

Game Over
Well as luck would have it
I got the short end of the stick
It could be raining titties
and I'd get hit with a dic
I just broke my last cigarette
and see someone done stole my
red bic
Ain't it sick how quick things slip
Into the shadows of the abyss from this eclipse
From a dub to G then a ball now a
zip
Never should've taken that last hit ...

Feed it to the fire.
Shake off all the dead wood,
Chuck it on the fire,
As the wind blows stronger,
The flames climb ever higher.
It’s a mystery that we claim,
When we come into this world,
When we put upon our name,
And learn to shape its words.
All troubles are the allies,
Of the spirits we rely on,
That rough edges do us favours,
That there’s little use denying.
It’s a mystery we accept,
When we’re pulled between the worlds,
When we’re struck by flailing limbs,
With whipping stings, we learn.
Shake off all...
Chuck it on the fire,

Now I Know That Nobody Would Believe Me
Arnold spotted an actual unicorn.
He took out his film filled camera.
But that's before it disappeared.

hmmmmm...
that day.
that special day in
everyone's life they
talk about as being
the very
best.
I'm still
waiting
for it.

Dancing In Your Graveyard............. (Choose Your Own Adventure)
#1
Stranded in a remote countryside
In the distance you see a village
Seeking any help they can provide
You walk the extra mileage
Empty streets echoed terrified screams
As you knock on a door unanswered
The storm raining nightmaric dreams
Calmness and uneasiness now transferred
(Attempt to go inside ---> #2
follow the voices down the street ---> #3)
#2
You slowly push open the squeaking door
And see an empty cobwebbed abyss
As you walk upon the creaking floor ...

If The Day’s Okay…I’m Alright
If the day’s okay…I’m alright
I would write…What I could not say
…I tried
To convey the time that I’ve had mine…
Into my mind…I pray
If the day’s okay…I’m alright
Giving Thanks…For my angst, provides a place where my fear can reside
And my tears can revive…The lifeless eyes…I see
If the day’s okay…I’m alright
Seeking the night, when I cry in the mourning
I’m much obliged…Being twisted and contorted
Enlisted to conform with…A dissident assortment
Blended into all of us “We”

One-way ticket...
Why should I care for the new year?
Another cycle of the same celestial dance
spiraling through familiar constellations.
Same faces in the same places,
their conversations a recitation of a well-worn script.
Why should I care for the new year?
When the clock's hands circle back
to touch the same numbers they brushed a moment ago.
And the calendar's pages, thin and brittle
fall like leaves from the same tree.

When the same hues paint the dawn

Ea$y Money (Not so Easy)
Ea$y Money (Not so easy)
Cutting in line
Won’t wait my turn
It’s my money and
I want to collect
But the game ain’t over
There’s still time
For it to fall to pieces
Does it almost every time
Life of a Rider
Comin up short in the end
They say insanity is
When you rinse and repeat
Tryin to make an easy buck
Instead of just being
Losing an easy buck instead
Of pocketing
Life of a Rider
Isn’t an easy path
Want to get rid of this
Insanity not so easy

Trolls often get bad press
I met a troll sitting under a bridge
looking sad
he was kicked out of the mountain
because it had two eyes
normal trolls have only one eye
planted on the forehead
Worst of all, the unfortunate troll didn't
had a tree stuck in his long nose, ducks under
water inhale mightily and
catch trout
Goats grazing at the bank
of the stream,
but the sad troll had a phobia against
against horns
besides, he didn't like the way they stunk
Our troll wore soft...
