Playdoh Bones
without consumption of any kind(especially the stomache's appetite)- the illusion dies; the story book of fairy tales-all its once upon a times; this whole show and prove thing- that you deserve to be alive- to make the cut- another face-another reason for what aligns within the book of lovely-ugly sensational-lies....
signs of a seriously depressed "human being"- when, "music to ones' ears"- loses its "sound" and simply becomes noise; when imagination is or becomes.... desert bones....

"Arteast"
untapped potential- yet to have been truly utilized- from sketch pads and pencils- to paintings- all things gravitationally pulled;
where I want to be(if ever there's such a place) versus- where absolutely i do not; I know I'm one of those- who just so happens to be- existing here- I'm not big on vodka but i see things "everclear"
I could capture it all- just how I'd prefer or how it actually is as opposed to how I want things to not just appear to be; I'm that "stereotype"-i'll lock...

scars
the January skies are
scarred by winter
the smiles of children
are scarred by an unknown
future
lights go dim scarred by
the approaching night
life is scarred by
living
people
like snowflakes
all different
and like the snowflake
unaware of its own
beauty
but fully trapped
by its scars

Love of Women
I’m a man who has loved many women. I've come to understand that the allure of romance is not just in the merging of two beings, but in the celebration of our profound differences. It's a dance of understanding and mystery, where the space between us is both a challenge and an invitation.
The women I've known have taught me that love is an art—an appreciation for the 'other.' Their distinct laughter, the stories etched in the lines of their bodies, and the way they see the world with eyes that have witnessed what mine have not—all draw me in, time and time again. It's as if their...

Ever Year Is A Piece Of Shit
The faded yellow light of the room bears relentlessly down on me in the last minutes of the year. The soft greys and blacks of my desktop's dark mode seem like a good - but not perfect - metaphor for the colors with which I've painted my life for years now. And just as I'm cooling off from another frustrating and utterly pointless game in which I can barely achieve anything above average, I realize once again just how much I hate everything.
I would blame it all on the year before, or on the year before that. I'm trying to pinpoint a moment when the crisis began - when the boulder...

How do you identfy Paula?
I'm white. Nearly White.
A bit of Native American.
Long ago and far away...
DOES IT MATTER?
Some other family members are mixed:
white/black & white/brown...
One married an Chinese girl twice...
Are mixed kids "told" their race?
DOES IT MATTER?
Can't we see the person...
Inside the "color"?
Does your precieved color...
determine who you are or aren't?
DOES IT MATTER?
Some people will say...
first black ball...

Brainless
Have you ever looked into someone’s eyes,
the window to their soul, or so they say,
and wondered,
“What the fuck goes on inside their head?”
Could their brain be rotting dead,
with buzzing flies feeding off
every leftover of their common sense?
Is there a Plankton behind the control board,
in charge of wicked acts,
carelessly bouncing from one button to another?
Did their gears come to a halt,
the burning wires of awareness ablaze
with fumes of empathy fading out?
Where has the light went off
from...

Art is about building a new foundation, not just laying something on top of what's already there.

The Unspoken Pain of My Life
I'm still grieving it, the inevitable lack of applause when I walk in a room. The inevitable silence after I share something profound. Although I don't thrive on external validation, I did give up on being loved a long time ago.
I was that girl people thought was cool, but never could get through to. I remember at 18 years old, crying because I was watching a romance movie. And knew I'd never get my happy ending. Or if I did, it would take a lot of faith to believe it.
I know why it's only Josh I love. He has the warrior gene like me, he was sexually abused by his dad,...
