listen carefully
I.
If you don't know
something is a
question,
then how do you
know to ask it?

it isn't that you don't

It's that others don't

when someone says
to you,
" Don't you think that."
they are not asking
you what you think,
they are TELLING

The accidentals
Told a woman on TikTok
she saved my life
imparted her wisdom,
allowed me to
grow.
I don’t know her from Adam
but there was a calmness
in the way she spoke
rivers through mountains.
I think where I’d be
without her—
without her strange accent
comforting this question mark,
without all those affirmations
I’ve filled my brain with
reaffirming that wheels
have worth.
Some nights, I think of the ones
that came out of nowhere,
appeared from poems
book clubs ...

what if...nevermind (featuring 3rdEYErising)
I'm tired of the what if game
no longer willing to play
what did what if ever fix
wondering never undid shit
& I live in reality
where change occurs only by my actions
choices & behaviors adjusted
what if is a daydream I can't afford
a shapeless creation only affected by my imagination
if...I cause it to happen
take the clay of that daydream
& mold it into what I have in mind
what if is but a prompt
a kick in the ass
only as valuable as I choose to make it
but as an idle occupation...
...it's time...

Among the Ruins
Far away
Beyond the north winds
A pale autumn moon
Glows onto the ruins
Etched in stone
An unknown hand
Long forgotten
In the distant future
Eternal flame to the next of kin

The Slave Théater {Act One}
as time slips into the future
it drags its own unique brand of baggage
of unreconciled relics
and a gang of blame gamers
raging against the machine behind 'enemy' lines
stuck on stagnant rhetoric
choking on wokeness
minds on remedial remote control
emotions enflamed by Molotov cocktails
politically corrected..
castrated ...circumcised...
wandering like an exposed dick-head
in quicksand ideology
regurgitating familiar social hiccups
that was always doomed to fail
future past...fast forwarded

what a day!
the sun was out today
smiling like a child on
the last day of school
cars zipping past cars
oblivious to their
drivers
the sun was out today
as playful as a dog fetching
a stck in some backyard
brunch was a miracle
rainbow laying across
my plate
people laughed as the sun
shined down and spirits
rose like shipwrecked
treasures
the sun was out today
and curled up into a
ball like some great
orange tabby cat on
the blue blanket of
sky

that's Ms Square Peg, thanks...
who defines madness
or what is right & improper
which roads taken are meant to deliver one...
...to an expected destination
astounds me to think there should be only one
a prescribed sense of normality
it escapes me
I exist in the inverse
juxtapositions in my composition
reality jacked...hijacked...reversed
shaken to my bones by loud unexpected sounds
I will jump near out of my skin & howl
but equally startled when silence crashes
into the cacophony taking place in the confines of my mind
I tremble walking alone...

Born Babylonian
Her language was hidden,
Transcribing an impression
Of ancient hieroglyphics
In the walls of a heart
With dragon tongues.
Under antique tombstones,
She was an architect
Of symbiosis built
To reflect smoke and mirror
Behind a crackling fire.
As the sinful chambers projected,
Licking and lapping flames
Of lustful betrayal burned
Upon skin's touch like
The dance of her smoldering feet.
She earned a skull and dagger,
As her ignorant bliss
Of feigned, carnal indifference ...
