& heart views a glass half full

maybe we've had it wrong all along
they watch...
with their glass dagger eyes
sharpened to the point of gouging
razor tongues ever at the ready
eager to slash truth...
...into something more suitable
more in line with their toxic savagery
their ears like pools of poison
soaking up & destroying honesty
as it drips acid from their mouths
who knows from where these ghouls originate
as they spread lies...
whispered into porous minds
allowing such foul germs as judgment & hate to pollinate
turning them into a singly directed organism

Electric Heartbeat
With every signal fire, alarms sound louder.
My heartbeat turns electric, pulsing in
rhythms I no longer control. It sends shockwaves through me, like I'm wired into
something beyond my own design.
Neon symptoms pulse beneath the surface.
They make plans behind my back, rewriting my biology without asking. My skin is still warm,
but inside, I'm becoming something else—something colder, more precise.
Every thought feels connected, a network of silent commands. Flesh turns into code, bones into circuitry, and I wonder where "I" went....
