Turn The Page: Chapter Five: Sister Eve
Terry was culture-shocked by the generosity shown to her by the church.
"I am sister Eve, Terry. Do you mind if I started calling you Terry?" The sister spoke with such calm it soothed Terry's anxiety.
"Yes, you can sister Eve."
"Shush!" The sister smiled and continued, "just Eve."
There sitting on Terry's bed, these two women from two different worlds are both God-fearing.
" You fear God, it means you love him and yourself, Terry." Terry's eyes bored into Eve's. "Follow His laws and always...

REMEMBERING YOU AND DUP
IT
seems like yesterday
or at most last week
when my awareness of
you occurred on DUP.
TODAY
the memory is fresh, exciting
and resolved to stay alive.
A few exchanges of words,
poems, and desires occupy
the front row in my memory.
COY
desires expressed but stopped
short of not yet...MAYBE later.
From the top of your head to
the soles of your feet and
every amazing and desirable
place in between has been
allowed to occur in my heart.
WHEN
I see a sunset, feel the crispness
of the wind and...

The bulldozer is on the way
I heard the city was bulldozing this place.
Your hand is in the back
of my jeans,
my heart
in the front pocket of yours
as I feed you a body
shot of Cuervo
in this place we
fucking love.
The last song fades out and
you pull the jukebox ap
on your phone
and pick a playlist
designed to seduce me
again
I get a little misty eyed.
I loved this place.
For a long, long time.
In days of fucking yore

In Lima – Peru- a hippo was pulling the tram car with
its best friend, a water buffalo. They had ended up
here, far from Africa, after the great flood ebbed and
had been blessed with eternal life, only being mere
animals, they didn´t know this. In Lima, no one made
a big issue of this, but when the wider world knew
and some adventurers set about trying to kill the pair,
in vain, the Lima people took another look, especially
since the church thought they were the devil´s own
handiwork, god would never have allowed beasts ...

A heart without love
It's me again the story teller of unspoken words ✍️ Do you know what a heart without love 🤔 looks like and feels like to the deepness of the truth of the heart. 💝 For sure they say that no one is sent to you by chance or accident, 🤔 😲 SOMETIMES we have to learn to walk away, from somethings, that don't feel right, as the red flags start waving in the back ground. 😲 For sure we have to learn to understand, that it's hard enough to find that someone who is willing and able to share a life together as one love...

it's cold on the hill
The cold autumn morning
cuts through me like ice
and of course I'm the idiot
that wore a tank top
and didn't bring a cardigan
Some hardy plants
lounge over the roof
of the gazebo I've chosen
to drink my camomile tea under
and I smile at the way
nature does whatever
the hell it wants
with no regard to our designs
I can just see the ocean from here
the blue green a few shades darker
than the carpet of trees
if I didn't know better
you could tell me it's more
endless Australian...

Turn The Page: Chapter Four: Withdrawals and Flashbacks
Terry wasn't sleeping. Beads of sweat coated her bare body beneath the dampened sheets. And tremors throughout her body twitching her arms and legs at their joints.
Terry was mostly awake when an eyelid creaked open and a blurred crucifix on the wall came into focus. Then the extraordinary happened, an hallucination, the cross was on fire. The flames licking and blackening the yellow wallpaper around it.
Terry squeezed her eyes shut as she remembered past hallucinations when she was withdrawing. Never like the euphoric psychedelic mushrooms she had taken in the past where...

Turn The Page: Chapter Three: Living On A Prayer
Terry found herself standing outside a local church. She was both tempted and hesistant to approach its cathedral-like, bronze doors.
What was inviting was the message written in marker on a bulletin board on the front yard: "YOU CAN SAVE YOURSELF."
Terry sighed and approached the front stone steps with the intention of resting herself. In her blue jean mini skirt and high boots, she crossed her bruised legs and lit a cigarette clip. "Heaven can wait for a sinner," Terry broke into tears.
"Young miss?" A soft voice spoke from behind...

Turn The Page: Chapter Two: Heaven Can Wait
The page has turned as it was in flames while Terry allowed such a chapter in her life to be consumed by her cleansing flames of self determination.
After abandoning the traffic median, her "island," she never once glanced back towards the hell of her former life. "Heaven Can Wait," Terry said aloud as she spotted a used syringe littered on the sidewalk along Union st.
"The poor girl," Terry whispered as she remembered Myra, another girl that begged on the same island but was less street's smarts - Myra would hop into any car with a man for a...

I like rain, not angry rain with an attitude
neglected by the mother cloud and take revenge
for its misbegotten infancy
lashing those who sought peace and the promise
of forever, with ice blasts
soft rain that feels like a caress, a day in June
Drips from my blue umbrella feel like kisses from
a long-time lover
