This is a story
This is a story, a tale like no other
Of fragmented memories and desperate lovers
This is a story of life in disguise
A fable of falsehoods, true love and lies
Fear swallows pills
swallows whole
swallows minds
While reason is solid and certain and kind
And the whole damn universe bleeds out in impiety
A freaked out, drugged up crush of anxiety
Make it stop
It hurts
This cocktail of ill-content
A medicated, calculated, screwed up experiment
We swallow you
swallow it
swallow them ...

Humanity's Pawn
Humanity's Pawn
The dust continues to collect more and more in Humanity's Pawn.
Morals and values placed high on a shelf out of reach,
out of sight with each year bringing another layer of dust.
They have no place in today's society.
No value.
And so the eternal shop-keep with his graying hair
placed them on that shelf so high becoming their forever home.
Perhaps someday forever will be sliced.
Perhaps not.
We can hope so.
The eternal shop-keep hopes so.
We like to think so anyway.
Maybe...

obviously to genuflect to these
pompous parasites that rather
vaingloriously, arrogantly and likewise
unashamedly, are parading in front of
you with the actual proceeds, of your
own taxpaying money; and evidently
that you consider as being royal but
are essentially, no more so than the
average individual that is bypassed
on any street. Yet despite all that it
is so glaringly obvious to everyone
with a functioning brain effectively
and operatively...

Charles and Camilla - nowt special really; just a couple of privileged bed hoppers showing off!

Night in Lisbon
Once, I went to a dance hall in Lisbon
an awful place full of desperate middle-aged women
hoping to catch a man, any man.
Ah, for the horrible colours looking putrid on the wall
Was the music supplied by a jukebox when
the accordion was too drunk to play
Scrawny women of the night sat around the dance
floor trying to look sophisticated smoking cigarettes
laughing loudly like ugly sisters
Ogling men’s mid-part while showing spindly legs
meant, I think, to look enticing but only succeeded
