to level down for a snake
When the grass low
I’m good it's cool
when I’m not
it's chaos folks levitate
Run don’t walk
mowed at that growl
a howl’s far worse
nape hairs stood on ends

We Can Survive This
We still travel close
you and I
even in separation
we are forever
bonded by the children
Even in
anger, hurt
- the defeat
I can still love
from a safe distance
I'm no longer ashamed
that what I gave
turned out temporary
or that the heat between us
vanished in the midst
of the many changes
But we can't forget
that there were always
exterior forces
exerting unnecessary pressures
and pulling us from
the sanctuary of each other
And eventually,
we can't...

The Best Life Still To Live
Funny how you can see forever down the
barrel of a gun, it’s as if the cylindrical
shadow siphons the soul into a darker
place, forever stares at you and blows you
a kiss that tickles your trigger finger
It’s a familiar feeling for the warrior, always
fighting forward, battling with such bravery
knowing all too well that loss lies lurking
at the door, it never occurred to him that it
would be his child, the first born
Oh but to dive into that black pool and
reach for a hand not there is terrifying,
darkness though...

can we start over?
They say time heals all things
and I don't know if those words
are true or just something
the wounded say to themselves
I've lived through things
I thought wouldn't get better
and still woke up one day
with lungs full of air
and a smile for the sunshine
Can we start over and leave
these demons behind?
let the past fade
to lessons learned
I want to let go
of all the things I fear
find happiness
in the adventures to come
But I've rocked up to the party
with a house...

The Feast of Decay
Foolishness and Error walk hand in hand,
Their chains bind tight both soul and flesh,
As Man, enthralled by shadows grand,
Nourishes guilt, though bound afresh.
Sin stands defiant, repentance meek,
While trembling vows the spirit drain.
In tears, Man finds the peace they seek,
Yet falls to murk and mire again.
Enthroned above, the Devil grins,
Craftsman of craft, he works unseen;
He shapes our will like molten glass,
And hones our lead to keep it mean.
The Devil's strings direct the dance,
With foul delights...

Calling an elephant a cat and because they hold probability and predictability to a certain extent, you believe they hold some sort of knowing.
The mind and the heart work in conjunction with one another, but neither without the Spirit, and for the most part should both be resilient and soft, loving and stern, caring and relentless.
