Standing on top
Of glamour hill
Typed tongues
Like bible pages
Dressed in black and white
Spewing ancient words
For the modern ages
Dealing forgiveness
Addicting the human race
Eucharist pills
Washed down in wine
Without a trace
Pass out the gold
Donation bowl
Cash in their sin
For a pass into the
Lambent land
Buying priceless souls
Dressed in grey
But I'm going to make
My own way
Build my own church
Made with my
Soul's kaleidoscope life

It’s been long enough to forget
The language of our touch
How we moved in a rhythm
A rhythm only known by us
Do distant memories play
In the back of your mind
As you turn the pages of your romance book
To rediscover forgotten fire?

We Can Survive This
We still travel close
you and I
even in separation
we are forever
bonded by the children
Even in
anger, hurt
- the defeat
I can still love
from a safe distance
I'm no longer ashamed
that what I gave
turned out temporary
or that the heat between us
vanished in the midst
of the many changes
But we can't forget
that there were always
exterior forces
exerting unnecessary pressures
and pulling us from
the sanctuary of each other
And eventually,
we can't...
