Absolution
Was absolution easy
when lord Jesus walked the earth?
Both yes and no
is true.
The Gospels say
he saw it was obtainable
but at a princely price.
And that was only if
you’d first forgive
the trespasses with which
your enemies
dishonored you:
for Man
who joys in gaining recompense
for all perceived injustices
that have been done
to him,
finds this
one of the hardest things
to ever do.
