She Will Take It Back
Mother Earth,
She will take it back,
The patriarchal society will soon come to an end,
It’s brought nothing but tyranny, war and famine,
It will give way to something new,
Something beautiful,
As a new generation rises in the horizon.
I hear their voices,
I see their eyes,
They stand up against the big political industrial machine,
They speak their minds calling for change,
Because the future is theirs.
One by one, their light comes up over the east,
With powerful narrative and imagery as they to walk the earth, ...

August Moon
I strip - kindred -
a sliver of a mountainous female, beneath our
New Moon
and wash,
wash away the walls of fertility,
prepare with a clean linen
a generative body for rebirth.
I grieve
what wasn't, and engage with the throbbing-ache
of an egg abandoning the hen,
and I indulge my back ache, my tiredness, my sore skin
as payment for blossom, regardless
of pollination.
Under our New Moon I stand my idol,
physique of the Mother, a period in time where I am living, breathing, thriving -
and thank her, in her...

I was going to get coffee, now
knees to chin in my dorm closet. about a mile away
it happened,
this new normal
we pretend no one can affect.
someone with a gun
I hold
my knees and have
church in my dorm room
Mass for the shooting as another
shooting amasses
another day of weather
a chance of bullets
from cocked clouds

inch crumbled off the coastline,
hands of the ocean waving a higher

A generation so consumed with what's in their best interests, LGBTQ and the rest, back in my day if the boss didn't pinch your arse it meant you were the last one left! The shorter the dress the more you impress.

Crowns with heads so full of curlers
scepter and orb a dustpan and brush
When things need to multi task
You cant ask a man to do all that
Handbag full of mysteries
A selection of white lies
Not fall flat upon our face
But on your toes to rise
The apron strings tied to our heart
A nurcher bigger than Wall Mart
Indelible the will transforms
The roses and the thorns
Clasp the stems and bleed unseen
Be resolute and show no pain
Emotion deep within her grain
Of feminine, in that wake I sail

A margin in an outline drawn
a stamp the perfect form of mint
for that shine no others fit
A mold that will draw the eye
and stands outside envy and chide
Gods hold an accolade
For a Godiva bare she comes
tresses hide her generous charms
and ride through all, no sense of shame
Show what ideals could achieve
a spouse so snubbed
taxes that should be repeeled
Not to pillory but cheer
for woman built of iron will
a form for history to acclaim
